Advantages: Lots to see and do, good atmosphere, exciting and cosmopolitan Disadvantages: A bit too crowded and far too much traffic !
...We went on a school trip it was a budget break but was subsidised. The main purpose of the trip was to see the Millenium dome. The dome itself was very boring and not worth the entry fee! The rest of London was great though.
The best thing about London was that was so much to do and everything was so cosmopoltian and there are so many very different attractions so close together.
The only downside about our trip was that the transport was very crowded and slow moving. The traffic was very slow moving and the bus was so crowded I had never seen anything like it in my life! The bus was so packed people were unable to get on or off at the stops! Eventually we asked someone which bus to get, she was very friendly and helpful as were most of the people we met in London.
If you want to visit London it is a very interesting experience...

Advantages: Great view of London Disadvantages: Not so good at night
...London's new attraction is proving very popular and worthy so. It's a half hour trip, rising and descending very slowly, up to the skyline of London. The cubicles are big, they can hold 20 people, and don't worry if you're afraid of heights, there's seating available and the whole ride is well organised. It had some teething troubles at first, as have all the millennium things in London (no wall of flame, wobbly bridge, bad press Dome) in a delayed opening and a much publicised brief breakdown, but come to the Eye, go up by day and again by night, and you won't forget it....

Advantages: A fantastic experience! Disadvantages: Try to avoid the queues at the gate!
...The London Eye is a magnificent ride. The views of London from the top are absolutely incredible. On a fine day, all the London landmarks can be seen. Some of the most spectacular photographs you will ever take are there ready and waiting for you. The ride is so smooth, you hardly know you are moving, and it really does feel so safe, even though it is obvious just how high you are!
As a tribute to British engineering, and to the new Millenium, it knocks spots off the Millennium Doom! Whilst I would welcome the demise of the Dome at the earliest opportunity, I hope that the London Eye continues to turn for many years to come.
Book early, and don,t rely on queuing at the gates, as this can be very frustrating and irksome, especially if you have young children, for whom the ride on the London Eye will be something they will always...
