The Nightingale Lodge, Liverpool

Advantages: Clean comfortable, cheap, good location
Disadvantages: poor selection of drinks in bar, low standard of service

...Hotel Campanile (a French chain) is now well established as a chain throughout the United Kingdom so when I was looking for a room at quite short notice in Liverpool I did not hesitate to reserve one here despite the fact that I had never stayed in one before. Of the chain hotels which came up when I searched on the internet, this was the cheapest and the excellent location meant that I did not have to compromise. The main shopping area is just a few minutes away and tourist attractions such as The Beatles Story, the Tate Liverpool and The Albert Dock are practically on the door-step. The Liverpool hotel is situated well-back from the main road which stretches along the rejuvenated docks area of the city. Advantages: A historical building
Disadvantages: disappointing and spoilt by the owners

...CASTLE LODGE It was a family day out in Ludlow and whilst I was sitting resting on the bench, waiting for my hubby to return from checking the car and the parking fees, I noticed this really old Tudor style house opposite and on closer inspection discovered that it was open to the public. We didn?t go in straight away, but I did drop a big hint like, ?I want to go in there before we go home? to the family, so that they would not be surprised after the visit to the castle that we went in here. After we had a lovely lunch in the café situated next door to the lodge after a amazing trip around the castle. We were all in high spirits and enjoying our food and refreshments, I dropped the bombshell that I wanted to see the house, they did try to dissuade me as they were now getting slightly tired and wanted to do a little retail... ...Liverpool FC probably the greatest team in the world. The most succesful team in Britain 5 Time European Cup winners 18 League Titles The thing about Liverpool Football Club is not the brand, or the players, or the ground it's all about the people the crowd the atmosphere. Passion for the club is like iv'e never witnessed elsewhere the tears i've seen grown men cry when you'll never walk alone is played. To me Liverpool Football Club is not a club it's a religionand it's hard to explain unless you experience it yourself to hear the crowd pull the ball towards the goal and drive even the most average looking team to champions league glory. If you have never been please take my advice and visit the famous club in the world... Read review
