Well, perosnally I travel with NorthWest quite a lot from London to Toronto/New York (family ties) because it is 1) CHEAP 2) STUDENT DISCOUNTS 3) GOOD SERVICE (they try as hard as humanly possible to make your journey bearable) 4) NICE EDIBLE FOOD (unlike BA and Virgin! - both of which I have tried and did not impress me a bit).
Of course I based the above on the price you pay for it. Think about it this way, you normally pay about 2/3 or sometimes 1/2 of what other major airlines charge - there is an even greater disparity during the busy holiday season. I normally pay around 250 pounds return flights during the peak times (eg, my uni holidays). Compared to about 400 pounds onwards for other airlines.

Advantages: Cheap, good service and food Disadvantages: often delayed by long periods of time
...On the Way (from Amsterdam) are plane was delayed by 2 hours, due 2 over packing so the plane was to heavy. After we took off though the flight went very smoothly. The Stewards and Stewardesses were very friendly, and the food was good.
After having a lovely holiday it was time to go home but low and behold the plane was dealayed due to an engine catching on fire, but once again everyone was very apologetic and the food was good.
The reason we flew with NorthWest airlines was because they were the cheapest, and they werevery good, apart from the fact that there planes are quite often delayed, and we know other people that said the same. If you dont mind about being delayed then there ok, but if you need to be somewhere e.g. for a connecting flight then its quite risky to fly with them!...

...Broadstairs main beach has three breaks. It is a picture postcard scene with great surfing community. Famed for its longboard community the spot is by far the best longboard surfing spot in the South East and should be totally respected for this fact.
The area has a web site called http://www.surfexperience.com that provides detailed surf reports etc... and the local BBC radio covers this spot real well.
Long ground swell lines are produced on NorthWest swell (which is the best for this spot) and the best spots only break at mid tide to mid/low tide. With a northwest wind blowing the spot is totally offshore!...

In my humble opinion this series never received the critical acclaim it deserved. With superb acting, particularly from Christopher Eccleston, and a deeply moving and interesting story line, it was one of the best BBC productions for many years.
