steam era, but thanks to a handful of amateur
cameramen armed with 8mm cine cameras, many images
of the 'Iron Horse' have been saved for
posterity.This series is a collection of those
shots and Part IV covers the West Midlands and the
North of England. We begin at Gloucester where the
diminutive former GWR 0-4-2 tank engines were
still working 'push and pull' trains. From
Gloucester we head to the western suburbs of
Birmingham via the famous Licky Incline where
heavyweight expresses could be seen struggling
with the 1 in 37 gradient. A look at
Wolverhampton's Low Level Station before it
closed, is followed by a journey to Manchester via
Stoke On Trent, Crewe and Stockport. After
Manchester we cross the Pennies and end our
journey at Sheffield's Victoria Station where
'Directors', '04s' and 'K' class moguls were still
hard at work. All the shots, taken in the 1950's
and 1960's are totally original and are in full
colour with sound track and commentary.

Londonderry and County Donegal. The artist is
unknown. The poster is a collage of different
pictures of landmarks of County Donegal and
Londonderry. These include; The ruins of Donegal
Castle (Donegal town) The train passing through
Barnsmore Gap at moonlight The village of
Killybegs The cliffs of Slieve Leage. This is
truly an outstanding print taken from the original
poster and is printed on excellent quality Fujitsu
photographic paper. It is not a cheap flimsy
poster. Height 42 inches. Width 26 inches. The
size of this print is very close to the original
poster size. We do not reduce the size of our
posters because we have found that they simply
don't look right in smaller dimensions. This is
part of the reason that our posters are superior
