Safari Court Hotel

Advantages: Comfortable, international full service hotel
Disadvantages: Busy front desk

I have stayed at the Safari Court twice. Both times it was very busy and appears to be one of the most popular hotels in Windhoek for international travelers and businessmen. Everything was very professionally done. The rooms were well appointed with two double beds. The AC worked well. The bathrooms were fairly spacious. The reception area got very busy at times and one might have a wait to get their key. The lounge was comfortable with plenty of open seating areas for reading the local paper. The restaurant has excellent a la carte selections that were surprising for their quality. A buffet was available for breakfast and dinner with typical breakfast fare. The dinner buffet offered many selections including local game such as oryx and lots of different appetizers. My father liked the buffet best and I liked the a la carte ...

A right Royal at Ross, Why?

Advantages: original victorian hotel, superb position and views
Disadvantages: creeky floorboards, rooms need updating

, latterly Best Western, but luckily for them they broke free of that impediment and refurbished the whole hotel in 2006 and are now in the Old English Inns franchise owner by Greene King brewery group who have a good portfolio of reasonably priced 2-4 star hotels and lodges. Booking and Getting There I came across the Hotel while planning a short break before Easter. Leaving it a bit late I was pleased to get availability on this Hotel. I found it through the Old English Inns/ Greene King website and found they were doing some pretty good spring deals. The booking process takes about 5 minutes and is easy to navigate. I would however contact the Hotel direct for bookings if you are looking for a feature rooms or such like. Ross on Wye is well served with an axis of good roads from any direction. The M50 ends about 4 miles from the Hotel ...

The Riverside Court Hotel, Sheffield

Advantages: Near City Centre, Good value for money, River view
Disadvantages: On a busy road

the Bar downstairs. This time around I decided that I would try and see a little bit more of this place. From the outside the building looks quite attractive and the first impressions are certainly good as you walk through the doorway. There are nice, thick, plush carpets on the floor and a small reception located just inside the entrance. The hotel is family run and this is one of the things that the Riverside Court Hotel prides itself on. It is only quite small inside but this gives it a certain charm. There are 35 bedrooms located on the three upper floors. The lower floor is reserved for the entrance lobby, the Bar, the Kitchens and the Dining area. I managed to have a good look around when I visited here to meet my work colleague and I even got a peek at the room that he was staying in on the second floor. The room looked very ...
