This Taverna is located at the Bottom of the main street, near the sea but only a glipse, so not really with sea views.

We the advance party of 4 had had lunch here , a pleasant visit with jokes with the staff about a picture in Thomas Cooks guide of the Harbour in Skala, which they had never seen.

The main buch, another 10 were due to arrive in 4 days time, we received a text asking us to book a table for the Sunday night as it was one of Ian & Lynns favourite places on their previous visits to Skala.

So we went in on the Friday evening as we passed to book a table for 14 persons for the Sunday night, of course the Owners eyes lit up, no problem.

Sunday night arrived and we were the first at the Taverna, we were led to a table set for the 14 of us, what a pleasure it looked lovely, decorated with Rose Petals.
The other 10 soon drifted up.

All were greeted like long lost friends.

The very efficient staff soon got the important part out of the way, DRINKS and Bread, very quickly brought to the table, and menus issued.
No rush here , but the staff kept a discreet eye on us so when they could tell everyone was ready they came to take the order.
It was done with a smile and no hassel, not often achieved in this country with a large jovial party.

All the food was delicious and fresh and good portions. Starters included, the BIG BEANS, Gourmet Village Sausage wrapped in bacon, Taziki (the stand your knife in kind). fried courgettes, cheese and spinich pies.

The mains again varied and all again well cooked and presented.
Lamb Kleftiko, Beef Stafardo, Mousakas, Steaks, Swordfish, Greek Salads. etc.

After this very few could or wanted deserts.
But the waiter tempted Uncle Dougie and Russ into a complementary desert like a trifle.

Then 14 Complimentry Cocktails arrived, very alchoholic but yummy.

The whole package about 19 Euros a head, for all the Food, wine, beers (quite a lot) and water, for the quality a superb evening.

And a lovely introduction to the big party.

So I would certainly recommend thsi one if you have a large party they certainly can cope, but if just 2 or 4 of you also worth a visit.
