I cant believe that no one has reviewed this before.
OK, well for me the Pink Palace has legondary status, I stayed there whilst on a months travelling tour around Europe and intended only to stay for a few days and ended up staying there a week.
You get picked up and taken there once you step off the ferry, and they probably do the same from the airport, you can also book, but there is no need.
On arrival we were given a slap up breakfast and a glass of pink ouzo - their speciality. Breakfast was amazing, especially as we hadnt eaten for a while.
Prices are unbelieavably cheap and include 3 cooked meals. The prices at the moment, vary from about 22-40 euro's a night, depending on what time of year you go and whether you stay in an A or B rated room. A is newly renovated, B are older. i stayed in B and it was fine, clean and basic but en suite and with a balcony.
The food is fanstastic - you dont get a choice - everyone has the same but they do a vegetarian option for everything.
At night the restaurant turns into a night club and its crazy. I had the best time there. Its basically a free for all, very cheesy but the mix of people is great as its a real travellers mecca.
I met so many great people there, and had such fun.
The dance floor usually has a large barrle full of pink ouzo in it, but if I were you I'd steer clear of that!
We made friends with the DJ who bought us cocktails with Pink Palace Money - oh yes there is Pink Palace money!
Well, what else - the palace is on its own stretch of beautiful beach and the views are stunning. The weather great - but thats obvious.
There is a small shop which sells everything you need and more and the other facilities include a volleyball pitch - where there is always a competition, a jacuzzi - although not luxurious! and internet connections. there is even massages and hairdressers available.
There are usually events going on such as toga parties... and although its all a bit tacky, its all fun. if you doing a bit of travelling on a budget, then this is a really good place to stay for a bit of rest before you carry on lugging round your back pack.
Excursions are also great - one rock jumping one as I recall- I was too scared to do that!
Seriously good fun all round and ideal for back packers or students travelling on a budget.

How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Given this review a VERY HELPFUL, as it helps me decide where not to stay in Agios Gordios as we are looking for the Greek Experience. Many Thanks, Poshtroika PS the prices you quoted are quite dear for Greece,

I would steer clear of any kind of ouzo after a bad experience back in the 80's LOL
