Putttin On The Ritz

Advantages: A tasty cheese snack
Disadvantages: Maybe we shouldn't over indulge!

Whenever I see a box of Ritz crackers I think of Christmas, when we were children that was the only time of year that the bright red box was brought in through the front door. Mum used to hand them out as though they were precious gems and the contents of the box lasted the family all over the festive period! How times have changed, now I would buy a box of Ritz crackers any day of the week without feeling guilty and sit and eat far too many feeling really guilty! This all goes to show just how spoilt we are today, as the great depression took hold in America during the 1930s everyone yearned for something good and tasty. Most readily accepted that cakes and cookies were too much to hope for but were over the moon when the National biscuit company introduced the Ritz cracker to the market. Ritz crackers have been on the go ...

The Ritz

Advantages: tastey
Disadvantages: None

Ritz are an extremely good snack to have if you are almost full up and just want something to finish off the hunger. I have been eating these for many years - both the cheese and original flavour. They are made from wheat (so obviously if you are allergic, dont touch this stuff). And if you are allergic to putting on weight, then stay away because when you eat them you will want to have some more because they taste so nice! The packaging is ever so simple. It is simply a cardboard box that is coloured either red or yello (pending on if its salted or cheese flavour that you are buying) On this box is a circle, with a ritz in the centre. So as you can tell on first glance it is not the most attractive due to the mundane colouring. However this box of biscuits also has a plastic bag in it. Inside this plastic packet is a load ...

Review of Jacobs Ritz Crackers

Putting on The Ritz

Advantages: Style, excellent service, great location
Disadvantages: Too many tourists

The only problem with The Ritz is that being such a landmark it does attract a bizarre mixture of people. The Rivoli Bar is perhaps a bit kitsch for some, decorated with much gold and glitz, but The Palm Court and adjoining lounge bar are sophistication in themselves and ideal places to take elderly relatives to tea or for drinks with clients/friends. The restaurant offers the best of British in terms of a traditional menu and the room is spectacular. Surprisingly, they often offer great deals on lunch so don't think that it is only a place to go when on an expense account. Rooms are excellent and of the high standard one would expect of a hotel of this calibre. Prices are high, but for that you do get the best. The service is impeccable, the staff excellent and their attentive yet discrete manner is most impressive ...
