Not an authentic Asian hotel, that's for sure - Ritz Carlton KL

Advantages: Full service 5 star hotel. Good price point. Excellent service and luxury. Butler service.
Disadvantages: No asian influence. More bar/restaurant choice elsewhere.

Not another Kuala Lumpur hotel review I hear you all groan??! But yes, there are still more reviews to come and today?s installment will share with you the highlights of the Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur. For those who are unfamiliar, the Ritz Carlton chain is part of the Marriott group and provides seventy upscale luxury properties over the world. The chain is arguably one of the west?s finest hotel chains with it?s closest rival in Canada?s Four Seasons chain. Ritz-Carlton is luxury there is no doubt, but how does it compare to Asian properties? Lets find out? Booking I booked my one night stay at the hotel over the telephone. The reservations agent was most helpful and took all my details. She provided full details about the property and all the arrival information to ensure I could find the property. Review of The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur

Luxury!

Advantages: Standard of hotel, staff and food
Disadvantages: Bit out from anything

the crack of dawn anyway, was not something we were looking forward to. However this would be a first time anyone from our company who works in the sales department would had visited this country and so it was also a mix of excitement as seeing the country we send hordes of passengers through on flights but not into to stay! The hotel: The hotel they had chosen to place us in for the day was the Ritz Carlton Doha. We didn't obviously stay overnight as our flight time meant leaving for the airport not long after midnight. However, a full inspection of the hotel took place including a rather nice lunch! The hotel itself is a 5 star luxury hotel of the Ritz chain and because of it's location in a country that prides itself on luxurious hotel properties this was truly a stunning hotel. The hotel is situated on it's own island which has a long ...

Review of The Ritz-Carlton Doha, Qatar

Grand Cayman - pure paradise

Advantages: Beautiful clean beaches, clear water and nice weather.
Disadvantages: Can be expensive and over run from people from cruise liners.

I went to Grand Cayman last October and found it to be everything I'd imagined it to be. The beaches have lovely light coloured soft sand, beautiful clear waters and the snorkelling is fantastic. So many brightly coloured fish to see and reefs to explore. In October it is very hot there but there is the occasional downpour which tends to be very heavy. However, the rain does not last long and within half an hour everything is dry again. We stayed at a hotel called the Spanish Bay Reef which was excellent and is situatied at the north end of the island. The food was really good and they also laid on barbecues in the evenings on the beach. I would recommend avoiding staying at any of the hotels along seven mile beach. These hotels also cater for passengers visiting from the huge cruise liners that moor just off the island about 3 times ...
