The Royal Albion Hotel, Brighton

Advantages: great location, cheap, nice rooms, excellent food
Disadvantages: no parking, quite dated

Introduction to the hotel: The Royal Albion Hotel was built in 1826 and is situated in a fantastic location opposite Brighton pier. It is a three star hotel and has 186 guest rooms offering views of Brighton beach or the town centre. My experience of the hotel: I spent one night in the hotel in January of this year and for a three star hotel I was quite impressed. I and my girlfriend booked a double room for £55 and it was a spacious room with a four poster bed, couch, satellite television, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely modern bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. When we checked in the hotel staff asked us if we would like to upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi batch for £10, we said no, but were a bit intrigued to find one anyways - they had obviously given our room away and were trying to get the extra £10 out ...

Royal Terrace Hotel

Advantages: Great location, lovely entrance areas
Disadvantages: very shabby in bedrooms

there is a hotel with a similar name. We tried to get in (it was locked) and even buzzed for the porter- too late we noticed the sign telling us that this was not the Royal Terrace Hotel. We found our hotel a bit further down the street, and after parking the car, went in. I have to mention that a down side to this hotel is that it doesn?t have a car park, and the car has to be parked on the street. We aren?t ?precious? about the car, but didn?t fancy having it towed a way, although the man assured us that over the weekend it would be fine?it was! ~~Address and Location~~ 18 Royal Terrace Edinburgh EH7 5AQ It is actually situated a very short walk from the city centre, so no need to get taxis or buses. ~~Entrance and checking in~~ The entrance to the hotel is very modern- all brown and cream, very clean, with sofas ...

The Best Hotel in Skegness

Advantages: Lots of Character
Disadvantages: No Facilities

Skegness unfortunately has a shortage of good hotels. The Vine is probably the best in the area. I have stayed there on four or fiver separate occasions. Part of the Best Western Chain of independent hotels, the hotel regularly participates in Best Western special offers (3 nights for 2 etc). The rooms are clean and well decorated with good quality funishings and nice ensuite bath rooms. The Rooms are light and airy. Not the cheapest place to stay (but cheaper than certain other hotels such as the grand scarborough...) but it is warm and comfortable. The Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The Hotel has a well stocked bar with a Restaurant and also serves bar meals. I haven't eaten dinner in the Restaurant so cannot comment on the food the menu looks moderately good. I have eaten Breakfast which is well cooked local ...
