vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his great sadness Mack receives a suspicious note apparently from God inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgement he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack's world forever. In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant THE SHACK wrestles with the timeless question 'Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?' The answers Mack gets will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him. You'll want everyone you know to read this book!

The shack the shack< oh dear a moment for the shack!
It burned down, allegedly cos of some kind of dodgy goings on / after party in trash downstaris but thats no loss as trash was always crap anyways. Yes one day glasgow awoke to clouds of thick smoke issuing from that big old building, filling that area of the city centre with lots of burning smelling smoke. what a shame, and then the fire brigade left cos they thought it was out and it caught ... ...and now not even the foundations remain. its quite sad as it used to be miles better than the shitey garage ever was, and every now and again i have a moment for the shack in my thoughts, particularly if i go drinking with friends who used to frequent it! ...

The garage or the shack, the classic glasgow student night out dilema, which to choose?
The answer is it doesnt really matter, you will find pretty much the same, mostly student, type people there, you will here the same, mostly chart rubbish, music there and you will likeley be just as intoxicated when you leave.
Unlike any other 'student' club i have been to however they are extremely keen to give everyone a thorough search when they go in the door which usually puts a bit of a damper on any sort of party vibe you may have had when you entered. once inside there is at least more variety than the shack, with differnt rooms playing 'different' music you can at least go get a drink in the 'rock' G2 if your not loving the cheesey rubbish in the main room.
the club is looking a lot better after the re-launch but still has ...

Advantages: None now Disadvantages: Its been demolished
Trash used to be based in a listed building in the centre of Glasgow city centre. it was one of the most popular clubs in town, sharing the building with 'The Shack'. It was damaged in a fire in November, the building it was housed in was a listed building, and very dramatic with columns and architecture. It was hoped that due to the architectural value of the building, the age and style of it that it would be rebuilt. Sadly the damage was too great to save it and it was totally demolished in December 2004. There is no sign of the premises being rebuilt or of Trash being relocated to another location in the city. However if a night out in Glasgow is what youre after, you wont be stuck. There are about another dozen clubs within walking distance of the Trash site ...
