Advantages Fantastic atmosphere, alternative music, cheap and fun
Disadvantages Umm... none!

Slimelight, if you are goth or alternative, is THE place to be on a Saturday night. If you aren't, then you haven't a chance of getting in, even if you were interested! Yes, Slimelight is for the elite – and elite in this sense means clad in PVC / rubber or lace / velvet / satin (depending on whether you are a cyber or traditional) and posesss one of those 'golden tickets' otherwise known as Slimelight Memberships. -THE SETUP- Slimelight is in Electrowerkz, Torrens Street (off Upper Street) in North London. Disadvantages the slimelight cough weeks after(ok that's over the top for a few days at least);)

Slimelight is simply fantastic!!Runs from 10.30pm til around 7am. It's a well thought out venue with two floors most nights but you do get the three floor specials which are definately not to be missed. Inside it's a dark and industrial looking club.Lots of metal and Stone,not much light other than on the dancefloors,placed around the dance floors are little cages to dance in which i LOVE.:) Think Alien set merged with Bladerunner and that'll give you an idea of what it looks like inside. Entrance is fairly cheap,even cheaper if you are a member.It helps to get a member to sign you in but if ... more

The Slimelight! All goths in London know this place and most go their regularly. I think ;). There are two floors. Upstairs you'll find pounding techno and industrial, and downstairs you'll find more traditional goth music and once again a fair bit of industrial. The entry price is £5 for members and £8 for non-members. You will need to get a member to sign you in, as it's a members only club. The last time I was there, you could bring your own alcohol, but this might have changed. Check their website (www.slimelight.com) for more info.
