Advantages: Lots of stations Disadvantages: Skanky trains
...Wales and West trains. What can be said! From the outside, and the inside these trains appear old, unclean and shabby – and largely only consist of two carriages. The glossy advertising and modern logos give Wales and West a prestigious look, but when you board the train your opinions will change dramatically. There are no food carts, sleeper compartments or any of the luxuries offered by the rail big boys, such as Virgin and First Great Western. This is a budget train operator – but with out budget prices. However, one good aspect of Wales and West Trains is that they are ideally suited to carrying bikes. The service reaches many rural locations in the southwest, and many cyclist friendly areas. If you can afford to wait for the next train, do, do not take Wales and West because quite frankly you will be appalled....

Advantages: Clean, efficient, friendly staff Disadvantages: not enough frequency to some stations
...I use the SouthWest Trains service between Salisbury and Tisbury, and Salisbury, Tisbury and London Waterloo frequently. The old diesel trains have been refurbished, and are very comfortable. They are still quite loud, but quite smooth. They are always immaculate, and punctual, and the staff are great. There is always a buffet trolley, which is well stocked and is reasonably priced. The fares are quite good as well, especially if you've got a railcard and you book in advance. The return fare from Tisbury to Salisbury is much cheaper than the bus. The only problem is frequency of the trains stopping at Tisbury, as they only stop once an hour, which can be frustrating. However, trains running every half hour to London from Salisbury is great, as it means that you never have to wait too long....

Advantages: If you don't own a car Disadvantages: It isn't safe!
...I was so excited to move to the country but only after a week commuting to London with SouthWest Trains I'm depressed. A seasons ticket costs £60.-! Really, have you seen the carriages? They are so old! I'm embarrassed when I have to get in because I nearly have to sit on a passenger lap to get in. Normally it should take me 25 minutes to get to Waterloo but it takes more than 40 minutes. I hope SWT didn't forget that we are in the 21st Century now!...

Its been a long antagonising wait for the release of season 5 in the UK and as a life long South Park addict, theres a good chance I may be a little biased on this one. After watching this series it is clear that the creators(Matt Stone and Trey Parker)... more
