Advantages: close to city centre
Disadvantages: shower in bathroom hard to turn off and on

...cans on one, snacks on another etc) The hotel has two places to eat the main restaurant and the bar area which offers 'pub food'. The bar is cheaper and the food was good for the price. The cheapest on the menu was €11.95. On my first night I ate in the bar area and had the chicken tika. Although this may not have been the chicken tika most Brits would expect it was excellent. The drawback is that the hotel does not offer room service. There is also a coffee bar which serves tea/coffee and a selection of pastries up until the bar closes at 1am. As the hotel is in Ireland naturally there is no smoking in any of the public areas of the hotel. As I am a non-smoker I did not ask about whether there was an option of a 'smoking' bedroom. ...Holiday Inn - Wandsworth. 1 Trevor has upgraded. Those who know the scrimping and penny-watching that has been part of my character from Scottish schooldays, will know that my regular trips to London all target the cheapest accomodation available. Well, not quite the cheapest - I try to ensure they are flealess, clean and with a bed that accomodates my full frame. Usually Travelodge gets the vote, and I have ladled the praise to them in the past for clean, comfortable basic rooms. Holiday Inn this time actually beat the local Travelodge on price, believe it or not. Well, it was a bit more complicated than that. Members of David Lloyd leisure clubs have (or had until the buy-out) access to members' benefits with other organisations.
