INTRODUCTION
Back in the UK again, I had some training courses to attend and so several of us from work got together to go on one in Staffordshire. Having found this hotel on the net, we all booked into it with eager anticipation of a night out before the course the next day. It wasn't to disappoint; amid all the banter, eating and drinking, I managed to keep my head and so present to you my experience of the hotel.
LOCATION
This is slap bang in the middle of Stafford town centre and so very handily located. It's only a five or ten minute walk from the train station. I ponced a lift and it wasn't hard to find once we got into the town centre and followed the directions. There are small signs pointing to the hotel which you follow, all the way round a winding road and finally into the hotel car park.

Advantages: Close to town centre,20 mins from alton towers Disadvantages: None
to choose from, and with alton towers being a mere 20 minute drive away it was perfect.
It was called the north staffordhotel and it was situated opposite stoke on trent train station, which I imaging would be ideal for those arriving buy train.
The hotel boasts 88 bedrooms and is one of many britannia hotels
On arriving we parked our car in the car park outside the hotel were there was plenty of spaces to choose from, but my hubby was fretful of leaving his baby there all night but his mind was soon put at ease when we were told there was 24 hour cctv on the car park.
Entering the hotel I was quite taken aback by how grand this hotel looked,it was very clean and the staff seemed pleasant.
After checking in swiftly, we were given the option of a smoking/non smoking room, and told what times breakfast was served from in ...
Advantages: Pleasent stay, good food, central location Disadvantages: Views from room
eateries/drinking places and chose 372, which offers carvery selection. I was surprise how hot and fresh the food was. Not only that it was tasty too! We opted for lamb with roast potatoes, new potatoes and three vegetables. However, my only complaint about the meal was the vegetables; they were a tad on the raw side for my liking. That said I ALWAYS OVER cook my veggies. Dessert was for me home made apple pie and cream, while the other half opted for home made cheesecake ? both were consumed without any complaints and very much enjoyed. Our meal for two with drinks cost £29)
