It's just recently gone through an overhaul.. and as they are redecorating all the rooms floor by floor (and the place is huge!) it's going to take a while before all the rooms are update... therefore if you're going to book through a cheapie website for the room, you'll almost definitely be given one of the old rooms... The place is a huge hotel, and has all the basics i.e. room service, comfy beds etc.. and as along as you're just sleeping there ie. not spending all day in your room, then it's a great budget style hotel especially as it's got a great location! Right on the strand nr Charing Cross.. If you're willing to pay more for your room then you'll be given one of the new updated rooms... but in the hotel industry you do get what you pay for!!
