We stayed at this hotel in London a little over a month ago now for two nights, we chose this hotel mainly because of the central location and because it was only a ten minuite walk from the show we had booked to go too.

Check in was very quick - About ten minuites and the staff at the reception seemed very friendly.

My first thoughts on the hotel was that it looked really clean and that it was nicely decorated and it looked modern.

I was a little dissapointed with our room as it was very small and basic, our room had a double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a tv with satellite and a small, basic en suite bathroom with a shower.
The views from our room very very poor - A block of offices which made our room dark as they were so close.

The hotel has two bars and two resturaunts, the bars were again nicely decorated and the staff were friendly but the resturaunt we ate in was very short staffed and the food was pretty tasteless and very basic, it took us about 15 minuites to get some tomato ketchup and then another 10 minuites to get some knife and forks!
We only ate breakfast here as we went out for a meal in the evenings at other resturaunts but i wouldnt recommend the food...

The hotel did not have a swimming pool and i dont think there was a gym at the hotel either which we were a little dissapointed about but there was a shop at the hotel which i think mainly sold jewellery...not very many facilities..

Check out took a little longer - About 30 minuites!

My overall thoughts were that this was an average hotel that is okay for a short stay if you are going to say a show like we was but i wouldnt recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay for a week as the food was not great and the room was very basic.

Forgot to mention what we paid...always helps! Our double room was £85 a night and this included breakfast.

Many many years since I stayed there, but I think it was better in those days. This seems pretty good to me for a first review. A belated welcome to Ciao. Duncan

Good review.

An excellent start sweetheart, very well written although adding a bit more detail about the hotel and the area, such as price etc, would improve the experience for the reader and therefore you would gain higher ratings. If you do manage to update it, then drop me a line and i'll pop back and re-rate :-) Shame you had such awful views from your window though - although i only looked out onto oxford street when i stayed at the Thistle Marble Arch, it sounds as though it was paradise compared to what view had to contend with! Sarah xx
