Advantages: Cheap, leisure club, friendly staff Disadvantages: located on hill, tough walk home from pub
...steep on several pints of the black stuff!
The restaurant did a reasonable breakfast but only did a set four course meal in the evening for EURO25, which was very nice but you had to like the options provided.
Staff were all Eastern Europeans and despite being pretty and charming they lacked knowledge of the town and their poor English made it difficult to get information from.
Taxis to/from the town were EURO8.00 and took around 5 minutes, except at morning and evening rush hours when crossing the only road bridge to the North side could take anything up to 40 minutes.
In all this is a good hotel if price is your driver, but for me the better hotels for a business stay are on the North bank.
Waterford is a lovely town and its people are very friendly, but not the drivers who will not let a motorist out of a side road for love nor money...

Advantages: Beautiful historic old city. Generally good weather Disadvantages: Not a lot.

There is a modern shopping mall on Georges Street, which along with the older merchants and shops in the town, offers the visitor a wide choice of clothing, jewellery, and food shops.

Advantages: Nice decor, pleasant staff, relaxing atmosphere Disadvantages: TOO EXPENSIVE!!!
...I visited the Townhouse in Leeds, for the first time the other night, and although impressed by the decor, the manor of the staff and bouncers, I have to say my overall impression of the place was let down a lot by the price of drinks.
There was a good selection of drinks, in particular a drink called "B52", the amount I spent in about half an hour, was ridiculous, I admit I am a student, and am usually more impressed by places that offer cheaper drinks, but I atleast thought that should of been a drinks offer, for a spirit, or something, especially as the place was mostly full of students.
I would probably reccommend this place, to the working community in Leeds, who want a nice, place to go for a drink on a weekend, but for a student, I would say unless you are one of the luckier ones with an endless pit of money, I would say...
