My partner and I went here in May 2007. Neither of us had been to Egypt on holiday before and we went for 2 weeks. The hotel was absolutely oustanding! The rooms were clean and spacious and the bathroom was very nice and clean. The clearner was excellent, always cleaning thoroughly and he was also very friendly. We had a view of the pools which was absolutely lovely to see! The staff there are outstanding also - so helpful and friendly and kind. They can't do enough for you!! There are three pools: one is huge and goes from shallow to deep, one was for the small children and then there's a normal sized pool which isn't too deep. All the pools were so lovely although the water is very cold in the mornings - although this is not necessary a bad thing as it was so hot! The food there is very good for an all inclusive resort, with a huge variety. You can go to the live cooking station for something specific in the mornings for breakfast. There are lots of different choices: salads, meat, vegetables, potatoes, desserts. The only night I didn't like the food was when they did Southern German food and it wasn't very nice but there were other things there - there's no need to go hungry! There is ice cream available for the children all day. There is also a fantastic restaurant there which you do have to pay for in the evening as it's not part of the all inclusive deal, but the food there is out of this world and very reasonably priced! During the day you can eat lunch there as part of the all inclusive deal and the food is lovely. The entertainment is generally fantastic with a wide variety of shows, karaoke, bingo, etc. There are two somewhat awful singers there who sing live in the evenings but there are plenty of alternatives. There are also various trips run: e.g. a tour of the town including the mosque, the Bedouin night (an absolutey must!!), etc. During the day there are various sport activities you can join in with. We would definitely go back again, without a doubt and I would definitely recommend this to anyone! (Also, although we don't have any children, I would definitely recommend this to families also as the hotel staff were fantastic with the children there.)
