Advantages: A comfortable well equipped hotel in Warrington Disadvantages: Mainly suited to the business traveller
We had to arrange an overnight stay with breakfast, close to Walton Lea crematorium in Cheshire, for 7th August 2006 as we wanted to be present at a family funeral service the next morning.
A quick search on the internet showed me that The De Vere VillageHotel and Leisure Centre was only five miles from the village of Walton and the crematorium.
As we spent a leisure break at a De Vere Group hotel in May, and liked the standard of the accommodation offered, I made a reservation for Bed and Breakfast in a twin room at The VillageHotel.

Have recently joined here and at £32 per month, each, we feel we have a bargain. They even waved the joining fee, normally £70.
We joined, my wife and I, on the ?Flexi? promotion. This is where you are only tied in for 3 months as opposed to the ?Full? 12 month tie in.
Extras given include £15 to spend in their restaurants, 10% discounts in the bars and coffee shop and 2 free vouchers for friends/family. The vouchers entitle the user to a free week in the gym, pool etc worth £70.
If you recommend someone and they join you also get £50 of a nights stay in the hotel.
A fair few incentives but to be honest we just want to use the leisure facilities.

We have recently returned from our 3-day break at this hotel. After reading other reviews of this hotel we were very apprehensive about our stay. On our arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff and made to feel very welcome. We were given very clear details of the facilities available to us and also breakfast and dinner times. Our executive room was lovely , clean and warm and well worth the extra supplement. Great choice at breakfast and carvery was very nice at the alternative restaurant The Last Drop Inn. In my opinion we have had a very pleasurable stay,staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.Glad to see that the small quaint shops were still to the rear of the hotel which are not mentioned on their website.
