The Volks is situated on the edge of Brighton's clubland, by the beach on Madeira Drive. It seems to have been refurbished and extended a year ago, but it still pounds to the tunes of the Brighton massive. Formerly populated by wild-eyed hairy crusties on their £1 Full Moon Parties and hard acid techno nights, it seems to have been sanitised a bit but the nights are still decent and cheap. There appears to be a night to suit most tastes with the Friday Jungle-Tekno and the Saturday hip-hop funk Danger Diabolique nights standing out. There are also reggae, dub and house nights during the week. Even better it shouldn't hurt your wallet with the most expensive nights only costing about £5.
