, there is a Bar area if you just feel like a nice relaxing drink, these areas are also used by the locals, which I found warm and friendly,
The whole lodge and facilities are family friendly, with outside seating area's with added heating for the cooler nights, a children's play area, and a few internal kiddies machines, e.g. toy and sweet grabbers.
A few bad points, it is close to a major dual carriage way, and situated right next to a McDonalds drive through and restaurant, which can get quite busy and noisy.

They have approx 40 rooms, catering for single, twin, double and families, for those who are unsteady on there feet please note there is no lifts available, access to rooms is via stairs.
All the rooms are tastefully decorated in keeping with the building, and are spacious and comfortable.
Each room as en-suite either bathroom/shower. Central Heating as befitting the British weather, Colour TV and they also supply you with a complimentary hospitality tray with Tea/Coffee and Biscuits.
Please note all rooms are fitted with smoke detectors.
Also available are Cots Cribs and high chairs, there is also a left luggage storage facility and post / parcel service.
You can either choose to have the continental breakfast which is included in your price, or pay a nominal extra ...

We’re not blessed with much variety when it comes to chain restaurants in Stoke-on-Trent. There’s plenty of them, but they all belong to the Big 4: McD’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut and KFC. Having such little choice, I’m depressingly familiar with all of them and visit Kentucky Fried Chicken a couple of times a month.
What I Want from a Chain Restaurant:
1. It should be FAST. I go there because I want to eat NOW. I don’t want to be kept waiting.
2. It should be CLEAN. Unclean is not only unhygienic, it’s aesthetically off-putting. Tables should be wiped after every use. Floors should be swept regularly. All rubbish should be tidied away immediately. Staff should be tidy and presentable.
3. It should represent VALUE FOR MONEY. We all know that chain restaurants buy their ...
