Every couple wants their honeymoon to be special and it took a lot of planning to decide where my new husband and I were going to stay on our tour of the United States. Our first destination was to be San Francisco and we did quite a bit of research ourselves, as well as taking advice from our long haul specialist at Thomas Cook. We wanted something central, near to a tram stop for easy accessibility and exploration of the Wharf district, somewhere near some of the famous stores but most importantly, somewhere where the staff would make us feel special on our first couple of nights as a married couple.
The Westin St Francis seemed to be the only hotel that met all those needs and I have to say we weren't disappointed one bit.

As many of you know, I have a great love of literature. Not just the current best sellers but children's classic, adult's classics, text books and many more genres. However, when studying my A2 literature I found that the books lost a lot of the appeal that they once held. Therefore I am pleased to say that I didn't read the classic Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte until just the other day. I had read Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre and fell in love at once with Mr Rochester, all of the Austen novels, falling in love at once with Mr Darcy and many of the other Victorian type novels, mostly for pleasure but with the mind that they would help for comparison of texts of the era when I sat the dreaded exam for the worst book I have ever read, Tess of the D'Urbevilles.
Now leaving the dreary subject of Tess with her many signs of ill fate ...
