Advantages: A lot of architectural unknown sites
Disadvantages: People

...Milan is a fool town, believe me, 'cause I live in Milan. First of all, I was born in Milan (MMMM let's tell 'a lot of years ago'.... never specify age if possible) and live in this town, but I don't like Milan. I don't like people: they have rough manners, they don't like foreign people and the majority of them don't understand English. The really amusing thing is that Milan asked to become a recognized touristic resort... but Milan is a business town, not a touristic resort. The majority of people think only to business, money, work. The question to became a touristic resort was only due to the possibility to have shops open for the entire week and up to 10.00 p.m., and the majority of small retailers were AGAINST this idea. They majority of people of Milan really don't understand why a tourist should desire to visit their town... Read review

Advantages: Historic, decent restaurants, good shopping!!!
Disadvantages: Don't speak the language!!

.... Touch down in Milan Linate. About 11am, quite hungry at this stage. Now, we have to try and find the Grand Visconti Palace, Not as luxurious as it sounds, but a reasonable price at 112 Euros per night for the both of us. Other hotels to stay in that are reasonably priced are: Zurigo Hotel- priced at 87 Euros. Lloyd Hotel- priced at 94 Euros per night The Winsdor Hotel - priced at 108 Euros per night Executive Hotel- priced at 136 Euros per night. All these hotels are recommended in the Milan Travel Guide Handbook. After unpacking and getting sorted out, we went out for lunch. It is either pizza or pasta i thought. But there are some reasonable priced but quality restaurants in Milan, with a large selection of food, not just Italian food, spread around the main heart of the city. Advantages: the Lake Como is one of the most beautiful places in Italy and Como is a very good place to buy silk products
