I had been to thekkady a few years back.It has one of the most beautiful lakes in southern India. The journey to Thekkady is very scenic and the lake itself is quiet and peaceful.The boat rides in the lake are fascinating with great photo oppurtunities.You will have fantastic oppurtunities to enjoy wildlife at close quarters at the same time in the safety of your boat. Watching the hordes of elephants on the shores eating or drinking or having a bath are all enjoyable and different. you will have a chance to see baby elephants being taken care of by other elephants and the way they play and feed in their natural wild environment is a chance of a lifetime.If you are planning a journey to southern India thekkady, kodaikanal and munnar are a must see.
