I have relatives who live in Kent and there are two marriott hotels located not too far away - the Bexleyheath Marriott Hotel and Marriott Cheshunt. I don't go to Belxleyheath as the hotel has turned me away before due to the fact they have overbooked.
The Marriott Cheshunthotel is located just outside of Cheshunt town centre, so you'll need a car if you want to get into the main town. The hotel is nicely done inside and the staff are pleasant. I have paid between £80 - £110 to stay here including breakfast. The rooms are nice size and I have always had a room over-looking the inner courtyard. As is standard at Marriott, the beds are very comfortable (in my opinion the Marriott bed is the most comfortable out of the main hotel chains).

The Victoria Park Plaza in London is an amazing hotel that has very comfortable, quality rooms and staff who are friendly and professional. The best thing about The Victoria Park Plaza is that it is in a prime position just two minutes from Victoria Station and an easy walk to some of London's main attractions. I found it perfect for shopping and buying souvenirs. There were also quite a number of restaurants close by and my mum who cannot walk far didn't complain once. Although we ate at the hotel we also sampled London's China Town.
It is a four star hotel and lives up to the standard. It is situated close to Buckingham Palace, Harrods, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament.
