Having grown up with reruns of The Addams Family as a kid, in 1983 I was happy to see another freaky family comedy show appear on my after school line up on local independent station WTBS. Unlike the Addams', they were not ordinary humans with odd quirks and a love of the macabre, but an actual family of "monsters" from "the old country" who had emigrated to the US and settled on in.
