Advantages: Surprisingly relaxing amid the bustle of Kings X Disadvantages: They could do with a better cleaner
.... She obviously thought I hadn’t used it and it had been returned to the beverage drawer all sticky and yucky – I would have thought they would wash anything that had been taken out of it’s position.
My company was invoiced £83 per night on a room only basis for two nights. £25 for car parking for two nights. Two nights meals at £30.55.
I did enjoy my stay and it reminded me of a much cheaper version of the Sheraton in Brussels – lower standards as well. It is good and I think the staff do care but this isn’t a consistent level of service. They also need to be able to cope with non standard requests better – it is the service industry.
I can sum up how I feel by saying:
I must have enjoyed it as I’ve taken the brochures for the Poole and BrandsHatchThistle Hotels
Maybe I’ll see you there?...

SOME BOOKING & ARRIVAL HINTS
1. If breakfast is offered for a couple of pounds more, take it; the Thistle will deliver to your room for a small room service charge, which is a nice start to the day in my opinion.
2. If a 'room with a view' is important, request one, otherwise, you may find the internal courtyard rather dismal, albeit quieter.
3. If you weren't offered a double bed when booking through your agent, give the hotel a ring directly and they will happily amend this for you.
4. Upon arrival, request that you are NOT allocated one of the recently refurbished rooms on the upper floors - these are perfectly comfortable, but smaller...

I stayed at this hotel for a period of 6 weeks last summer as I was on a course with work down south.
The hotel is situated in a small village setback from the road in a secluded position. It is about a five minute drive into Stevenage which makes it more

I booked this room via active hotels for £40, room only. For only one night- and we checked in 20:00, it was acceptable. Bathroom was newly fitted, clean and roomy. Bed and beddings were very nice. But other than that, the hotel has a dated and dirty... more
