Advantages: Close enough to Liverpool's attractions Disadvantages: Limited if any car parking
This is a large hotel with over 200 rooms including some suites and is located on the Pier Head next to the famous Liver Buildings. The main drawback is there is no on site parking facilities and the hotel's allocated parking slots are about a 5 minute walk from the hotel or there are NCP car parks close by.
The reception is bright and airy with extremely pleasant staff welcoming you when you check in. This process is quick and you ... ...access your floor and room. One of the lifts was a little tempremental and the doors would not close as soon as you got out to try another the doors closed and the lift went scuttling off to another floor!!

The reception is bright and airy with extremely pleasant staff welcoming you when you check in. This process is quick and you are soon directed to the bank of 3 lifts to access your floor and room. One of the lifts was a little tempremental and the doors would not close as soon as you got out to try another the doors closed and the lift went scuttling off to another floor!!
Our room was very clean and welcoming and overlooked the river Mersey. The facilities included an ironing board and iron, hidden inside a purpose built cupboard, hair dryer, a small selection of toiletries in the bathroom and tea and coffee making equipment. The room also has air conditioning which can be regulated by a hand held control.
The hotel is ideally located for enjoying all the sights and attractions liverpool has to offer. Albert Dock and the Tate Modern Gallery are all within easy distance of the hotel and if you don't feel like walking ask the concierge to order a taxi for you. You are also well placed for visits to Anfield and Aintree and no stay in Liverpool should be without the experience of the Beatles story.
We did not dine in the hotel but there are a couple of restaurants to enjoy, one serving an a la carte menu and the other more informal. We decided to sample room service for breakfast and completed the door hanging card before retiring for the night.

. . . early March and I?m in Liverpool. (Sing along to the tune of ?Oh what a night?)
Anyway, I went up to Liverpool to watch a UEFA cup match last season and decided that while I was up there I would make the most of it and stay the night. I took the two days off work and started looking for a deal on a hotel for the night. Not knowing Liverpool city centre very well I wanted to find a hotel that was centrally located and easy to find. Talking to some people who lived in and around Liverpool I had this hotel recommended to me.
** Location **
The hotel itself is situated on Chapel Street across the road from the Albert Dock. Being at the end of the Birkenhead tunnel there is easy access to this hotel from the M53 as long as you use the right tunnel. Failing that, the Albert Dock is signposted through most of the city ...
Advantages: reasonably priced Disadvantages: not bang in the centre
The Atlantic Hotel is not a pretty place but it is worth considering, particularly if you are a family looking for a short break.
The hotel is not bang in the centre of Liverpool but it is fairly adjacent to the main shopping centre if you do not mind a short walk. The food and decor are about average but are of a pretty good standard so it is unliklet that you will find much to coplain about. During the week it will be mainly used by business men or for conferences but it will be quiter over the weekend. I am recommending this for a family short break because you can take advantage of the offers that are available from the hotel or through Highlife. If you have not got a Highlife brochure see your travel agent for they are well worth having. The 'free children' offers are well worth taking up and will save a bob or two.
Parking is ...
Advantages: I live here Disadvantages: Some shops aren't here, the weather
for shopping and the Empire theatre.
