...the corridor cupboard doors have a leatherette cladding, the ones on our corridor were very obviously peeling away from the doors and looked tatty.
Our room door stuck and had to be slammed shut.
The bathroom extractor fan did not work hence the peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling.
Glazing was poor with lots of street noise able to come into the room.
Lumpy pillows.
Good bits.
The breakfast was wholesome and fresh, the pork and leek sausages were lovely.
The resaurant although looked clean felt sterile with no atmosphere.
Maid service was good. Nice clean towels.
Good location right opposite Kensington Palace and just along form Hyde Park.
15 minutes walk from Harrods and Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge.
2 minutes walk from Kensington High Street and Tube Station....

The Holiday Inn Kensington is located in the heart of London, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The hotel is located on a busy London road and a 2minute walk away from Gloucester road underground station. Holiday Inn offers easy accessibility to all the major London attractions including High Street Kensington, Natural History Museum, London Eye, Albert Hall and Harrods. The hotel also offers a direct link to Heathrow airport via the Piccadilly line and the M4 and A4 are easily accessible.
I would recommend this hotel a great deal. It can get booked up quite quickly. A very nice and friendly hotel.

...On the roof at 99 Kensington High Street is a real treat - an established rooftop garden which is free to view.
It is so quiet and peaceful that it is hard to believe it is located in the heart of Kensington, next to the Barkers building. Graceful trees provide shade for the flamingos and the weary shopper!
The garden has a restaurant, although there is no requirement to eat or drink - indeed we wanted to and found it impossible to get served.
The garden is a well kept secret and largely unknown by Londoners and tourists alike! Well worth a visit!...
