When I decided to get married I wanted my wedding to be a bit different.
I thought why not...let's get married in a hotel.
I chose the Thistle Hotel as one of my relatives oftne used them and was always saying how great it was there.
We went down to the hotel and they provided us with our own wedding planner. She went through all the details of what we wanted She stayed in contacted with through all the months leading up to the wedding updating us on how things were going.
We were introduced to the chef you created us our own personal menu just for the wedding.
A large room was set out for us for the ceremony. The hotel staff had then set up a seperate room for the photos. We then went straight into another room for the reception.

I’ve just come back from my 6th stay at a Thistle Hotel this year. This is because I have a mad passion for travelling up and down the country staying in various hotels that belong to the Thistle chain; quite fascinating once you get into the swing of things. I love the same old set out of the rooms and same old extortionist prices that always seem to equal horrible tasting food.
Not convincing? Ok, well the truth is the company I work for (ICL) has negotiated some kind of contract with Thistle hotels (unfortunately), which means that if I ever go away on a business trip then my first choice should be a Thistle Hotel as we’ll get accommodation cheaper than a normal individual off the street. This still ends up costing an absolute fortune at times though.

I first came across Thistle Bristol on a romantic weekend away with my boyfriend in 2001 We chose it because it was on special offer in the Daily Mail, and it looked fabulous in the photos. Since then we?ve been back every October to celebrate our anniversary.
Located around 1 mile from Bristol Temple Meads station, this Thistle hotel sits right in the heart of the town centre ? 3 minutes walk from the main shopping centre, and 3 minutes from the nearest pubs and restaurants. Great for us because we don?t drive. Car parking is available at an extra charge.
