...London as a City is quite an interesting and diverse place. It has some brilliant places, like Oxford Street and Westminster Palace, and also some great tourist attractions, like the London Eye, The Tate Modern and Madame Tussauds. However, there are some parts which are horrible (like the east end), although the ethnic diversity this results in is actually quite good. The mix of cultures is good, and the ability to co-exist makes London a much better place, than, say Birmingham. I like London, although it really has some rubbish bits.... Read review

Advantages: Outstanding Views, best hotel in London i've stayed at
Disadvantages: couldn't fault it

...I stayed at this Hotel last year, and have been to London 4 times since. Ive stayed in over 10 hotels in the capital and can honestly say this has been my favourite hotel. The views over Hyde Park were gorgeous and gave a lovely view of the london eye, and the flight path. The rooms were a good size and layed out well. It wasn't unclean at all. The staff were extremely helpful and went out their way to help you. The breakfast was gorgeous and provided a great choice. The hotel was close to the local tube station, and close to notting hill and shops. It was central to oxford street and all that London has to offer, without been slap bang in the middle. Only downfall i suppose ( the only one) was that it was upstairs to a petrol station yet it wasnt a problem for me. I would recommend this hotel 100% and enjoyed my stay.... Read review

Advantages: Interest for the kids
Disadvantages: Early publicity claims seem a bit exaggerated

...Open for a couple of years and situated in the old Greater London Council offices on the South Bank of the Thames at Westminster, the London Aquarium boasts the largest fish tank in Europe. Here you can see a wide variety of exotic and not so exotic fish displayed in tanks dipicting their natural habitats. The centre piece is the large tank containing a number of shark species. If you have ever visited Sea World in Florida, then this aquarium will probably seem quite small. However, there is a good one to two hours worth at a reasonable entry price. Its also very handy for some of Londons other attractions in this area, the London Eye, the new imax cinema and others. Its also close to the new Westminster pier, handy for river trips both up and down the Thames.... Read review
