Travelling into town with a toddler can be stressful, let alone flying to Canada on a 7.5hr flight.

Last year, my son and I booked flights with Thomas Cook to travel to Canada to see my family. I cannot tell you how many sleepless nights I had imagining the worst. I needn't have worried - both my son and the airline were absolute stars.

Booking the flight over the internet couldn't have been easier and when I had to correspond with them regarding my son and safety regulations, they were quick to respond and very helpful.

Travelling on my own with an 18month olds, a pushchair, and luggage is not easy let me tell you. I was very grateful to the Thomas Cook staff for all the help they gave us in getting to the plane and for helping us get settled properly once on the plane.

The planes are smaller but the individual seats are comfortable and even include extra leg room compared to other airlines. Leather seat covers and tv screens in the back of the headrests help to create the illusion of not being a budget airline.

The staff were curteous and extremely helpful, even taking my son while I had my meal. They gave him crayons and magazines and small games to keep him busy and generally made a big fuss over him, which he loved.

I got off the plane totally relieved and relaxed (and proud of my son who had been so good!). My partner and I had travelled with many airlines in the past, some budget airlines, some not and Thomas Cook was without a doubt the most enjoyable flight experience I have had in a long time. I will of course, be booking once again through Thomas Cook for this years' trip back home.
