Having just returned from Orlando flying with Thomas Cook. I paid for the four of us travelling to sit together which I think is unfair. Ar £20 per person, it soon adds up. Also the luggage allowance is awful. 15KG on the way out if fine but as Orlando has many offers, this is nowhere enough for the return leg. I did purchase the extra 5KG but this was still not enough. The check in staff are not employed by Thomas Cook and can be rude. Your seats are already allocated, so you cannot choose where to sit, even though we were first in the queue for check in. The fligh itself is OK. The seating is rather cramped and the staff can be rude specially when asking for WATER. They dont like giving water and would rather you purchase a bottle of water instaed. The food is very poor and although I had booked a vegetarian meal, these had gone elsewhere, so we ended up with only bits and bobs. Yes, i got an apology but what good is that when I could only PURCHSE crisps, etc. You would assume that they would give this for free as they had made a mistake on the meals. The in-flight enterainment is OK but have to pay £5 if you want to upgrade to watch better films, also they have the same programmes on both the outgoing and incoming flights. Overall, I would not recommend Thomas Cook for long haul flights.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Even though you don't recommend it readers may still want to take a look at it so it's helpful if you can give as much information about it as possible.. Surely there must be something good to say about the company to make it a more balanced review. As it stands I think the review would be better expanded upon and placed in the buyer beware category as this really is the place to air our grumbles about a specific company or product. You can expand on your review in the future to include all aspects of the area if you want to by pressing the edit link in the top centre of the page as you read your review. Fiona

How did you book? It might also be an idea to use spell checker before posting reviews.

Sorry for the low rating but you've only complained about the bad service you received and said nothing about what Thomas Cook offers, how you can book etc. I've never had any problems with Thomas Cook and fly with them a couple of times each year (but never long haul). Did you book your flight last minute as I can't understand why you only ended up with 15kg luggage allowance. We always have 20kg without paying any extra. Alexandra x
