In february 2004 we decided that we wanted to get married at Club St Lucia in St Lucia. Now we have been there before and we enjoyed it ,as it was so good for the ... ...We went to see Thomas Cook and make the arrangements. In total there were going to be 10 of us going which included parents, best man and us and our kids. We did have a litle shop around beforehand but found Thomas Cook Signature (subsidary of Thomas Cook) the cheapest. We booked the holiday and they required a deposit of all of us which was £135.00 for each person including the children. Now that included a £10.00 each for our travel insurance through ...

Advantages: well know operator. Easy to use website Disadvantages: none that I have experienced........
...about holiday browsing on the Thomas Cook website was 'the prices on here are just going to be up in the air somewhere' - but I was wrong, I got a pleasent little suprise......
In February this year, I had looked at every single holiday web site I could possibly think of - and found a holiday to Argassi in Zante for the Windmill Bay Apartments, it really took my fancy - I initially found it through the Mytravel web site who list all the holidays ... ...was until I logged into Thomas Cook's site, entered the ususal date details, departure airport details etc... hit the search button, and it brought up about 16 deals of what they recommend with their own company, but then I noticed another link saying 'More Great Holidays' which I clicked on............ and low and behold, there were more deals from other travel companies like Manos, Panorama, etc...
after clicking through a couple of the pages, ...

Advantages: FANTASTIC WEBSITE BUT IF YOU HAVE TO TELEPHONE Disadvantages: THE STAFF CAN TRY TO PERSUADE YOU A LITTLE TOO MUCH
...inveterate holiday-goer, I generally use Thomas Cook's website to find hotels, apartments, and special late deals, mainly because it's easy to navigate and is more informative than most. www.thomascook.co.uk.
ADVANTAGES:
The Thomas Cook website is one of the best I've used for holidays (I am assuming here that everyone knows how to get around the internet as Ciao is web-based!). Filling in details such as number of people, travel destination, hotel, ... ...of, say, a month! Thomas Cook's website gives you the flexibility to specify that wonderful "any day" within a month. So, 10/10 for that! With regards to the amount of money you wish to spend, Thomas Cook's website asks you to specify your budget. It will then do a search and, if it can't offer the exact place for the amount you can afford, will offer alternatives, e.g. if you've put in £200 for Tenerife, and it can't do it, it will offer you, say ...

...holidays have been booked through Thomas Cook, and if that's not an indication of a good company, I don't know what is. Here's a summary of the (many) good points and (fewer) bad points I've found. The Good : Although the chain is a large one, they have many smaller branches rather than fewer larger ones which gives a more homey atmosphere. Case in point : along Market St in Manchester (which later turns into the Piccadilly approach) there are 3 ... ...has not put me off Thomas Cook for life. I will continue to book the majority of my holidays with them (others come from the internet, not a diferent agency) for at least as long as I'm at Debenhams - we have a concession there which means I get a discount (yay!). Next time you're looking for a holiday, check out thomascook.com or pop into your local branch and don't just book it, Thomas Cook it. ...

Advantages: Very good quality and staff knowledge, shops are everywhere Disadvantages: Slightly expensive
...Look no further than Thomas Cook. As the founders of the package holiday, Thomas Cook have the edge when it comes to choosing those weeks in the sun, or on the sea, or in the jungle or in Paris or…. The list goes on. In my usual style I will dissect and inspect each section of Thomas Cook, starting with…
~LOCATION~
Thomas Cook has stores nationwide, in nearly every town – my local town (Taunton), has two, both of a similar nature. ... ...~PHSICAL LAYOUT OF SHOPS~
Thomas Cook shops are, in general, quite large, and easily accessible for wheelchair. On one side of the store is the sea of brochures, with a selection of companies, including JMC, Thomson, Sky tours and First Choice among others. The other side of the shop contains the cheerful travel consultants, perched behind their screens, eagerly awaiting your custom. The store looks ‘nice’, with all the late deals posted ...

Advantages: cost Disadvantages: packed like sardines in a tin
...It is the first time we have flown ThomasCook and also the last.We flew to Pafos on the 12th August 2006 and return flight 26th August 2006.On the outward journey row 5 we were very disappointed with the spacing of the seating as it gave very little room to move or even put your tray down to have your food etc but worse was to come on the return flight row 30 backs onto the toilets the seat do not recline in fact they lean forward and when the seat in front is reclined no room at all. The biggest joke is the safety video telling you to do the exercises to help stop deep vein thrombosis you have got to be joking it is laughable there is no way on earth you could even attempt any of these.I wouldn't mind if I was tall but I am only 5ft 8in.We have flown with other cheap flight companies and not one was anywere near as cramped so I would...

Advantages: Speedy check in and luggage collection, comfort Disadvantages: certain things 'included' we did not receive
...As newlyweds jetting off on honeymoon we flew in thomascook airlines premium cabin to Cuba from manchester. Premium check in meant a designated desk and saved us a lot of time both on our outbound and inward journey. we also received our luggage swiftly at both ends as it is kept separate from economy luggage. the seats were wider and much more comfortable with sufficient leg room. the staff were helpful and the food was quite good, getting a full meal and a snack whilst on the flight. A premium cabin benefit was free drinks including alcoholic ones for the duration of the flight. We received free headphones and a blanket and pillow but other items which were advertised as included in the price of premium we did not receive such as sparkling wine on arrival and personal care kit. the overall experience with ThomasCook airlines...

Advantages: leather seats, friendly staff, good food Disadvantages: pre-allocated seats which could not be changed
...I have just flown to and from Austria with ThomasCook and I have to admit I previously had no idea that they actually ran an airline themselves! A friend of mine booked the flights through the Barclaycard travel service and we got a good discount on our whole skiing holiday as Barclaycard holders. The whole holiday was provided by ThomasCook along with Neilson Holidays and everything thankfully ran very smoothly.
I flew from Gatwick to Innsbruck and and as a nervous flier I was somewhat anxious, especially not having heard of ThomasCook flying aeroplanes.
However, as soon as I saw the plane, my fears were allayed and friendly staff were on standby on the plane to show you to your seat.
Unfortunately, this seat had been pre-allocated. This was great as I was travelling in a group of 7, which meant that we were all seated together...
