We flew Doncaster to Malaga at the end of May and the delays were awful! Flying out we had a 7 hours delay, should have flown at 6:15pm (and arrived a decent time in Malaga for someone to collect us from the airport) but didn't get off the ground until after midnight. Thomson offered no information about what the problem was and all customers were getting very angry. They eventually put us on a coach to Manchester Airport saying we could get a plane from there instead so having retrieved all cases etc. and got on the coach we set off only to turn back again after only 10 minuites saying we were going to fly from Doncaster after all! Then had to check cases back in again. They did give us £6 vochure to use in the airport but by that time of night there is very little open at Doncaster because everything had closed for the day except a little sandwich bar - but you can't get a lot for £6 in a airport anyway. Flight back home was a repeat performace - except a slightly longer dealy of 8 hours this time. Again very little infomration was given other that there was a technical problems with the plane and they were struggling to get another one to fly us back home. Again we had good flight times originally to get us back home for 8:00-pm but ended up back home at 3 in the morning! ALso there was no food avaiable on the plane when we did finally get on because it had already done a flight elsewhere and hadn't been restocked. Flight staff were very good, polite and friendly - it wasn't their fault but the damage had already been done by then! Many other people on the flight had stories of others travelling on Thomsonfly and suferring dealys and lack of information so I don't think this was a one off. I would never book through Thomsonfly again - airports are just too boring to spend 9 or 10 hours in a time!
