as you can guess this is a complaint about being let down by thomson and the tour operator that books the holiday that you expect. Onboarding the thomson aircraft bound for punta cana in the dominican (who we were told would be first choice) you can imagine my horror knowing full well we had been duped. the alledged 36 inch seat pitch we had paid for was now 31 inch, 33 inch if i was being generous. as i measured the seating with a tape,( as we have been misled before).From my experience in the past ,flying with thomson does not compare with first choice, and to find they have now merged leaves me in a quandary as to whether or not to book any further holidays long haul, if it means flying on a thomson aircraft, as i would sooner walk bare foot over hot coals. Thomson in my opinion are the worst company i have ever booked an holiday or flown with. Sometime ago i booked an holiday to halkadiki in greece. once we had collected our luggage and boarded the bus, we set off to our hotel, on the way they dropped other holiday makers off at their hotels, but to our horror we were dropped off at an hotel we had not booked, only to be told by the thomson rep " they should have told you before you flew". the hotel was rubbish. i complained to the rep, i complained to thomson and as you can guess nothing was done.surely under trade desciptions something can be done. anyway thats my gripe

I know exactly what you mean about Thompson aircraft - cramped, old and lacking modern amenities (like TV screens on both the recent flights I've been on). The joke is, they're not even cheap to fly with! Lexy
