Well we actually did decide to buy a freehold property at Vistanna ( near Downtown Disney) but having said that, it is something that we wanted to do and we love the place, and as a further bonus we got membership of the RCI thrown in for free ( for the first year ) so we were delighted with our purchase..and the cost...well for a ... ...buying a fly drive ticket from the UK to Florida which can vary depending on airlines and time of year from about £200 to around £600 per person....you can even bank your weeks or rent them to someone else....your own place in the Sun......'er well for 2 weeks each year...enjoy ... more

What happens is that they are interested in getting you to see a timeshare presentation somewhere in the Orlando locality..they will Safely transport you there in an air condition bus, feed you with you a continental breakfast free of charge, and then give you the timeshare sell or as they call it a presentation....now don't panic it is not a hard sell (Florida State laws forbit this) .... so if you're not interested in buying an apartment after having listened to the presentation then you simply say so, and you are awarded your free tickets or gift, and a lift back to your hotel or the attraction is promtly organised for you..

The free gift or inducement is usually worth attending the presentation for, it could be a classic mickey Mouse Phone which works in the UK or a pair of day Tickets to get you into Seaworld or Universal studios or even 50 Disney Dollars..whatever it is, if you've a spare morning and nothing to do and are fairly strong willed, I'd recommend going for the early morning presentation ( about 0700) you get finished earlier and are in the parks by lunch time ( which is not a bad time to go anyway)

Well we actually did decide to buy a freehold property at Vistanna ( near Downtown Disney) but having said that, it is something that we wanted to do and we love the place, and as a further bonus we got membership of the RCI thrown in for free ( for the first year ) so we were delighted with our purchase..and the cost...well for a 3 bedroom apartment, with balcony, kitchen, laundry / utility room, Jacouzzi in the master bedroom. cable TV in every room ( yes I mean EVERY ROOM ) fully furnished Kitchen, dining room, access to a golf course, swimming pool, discounted residents shop, dining area..for one week a year will cost you a one off payment of around £8000 or £15000 for two weeks a year the only extras on top of this are the yearly management fees for your property, currently around $450 for a 2 week lot, Abbey National in conjunction with First National Bank are on hand to help with finances should you need a hand and normally credit is immediately available to those buying a property, the deal is sealed with the opening and drinking of a cheap bottle of Champagne...
Just be careful and buy only if you want to, otherwise it can be an amusig way of passing a couple of hours and gettina free gift into the bargain..just be careful and think before committing yourself..

Good Evening and Congratulations! You?ve just won a holiday for 2 in Florida. What do you think to this news, I bet you?re so excited you can?t speak etc?.. Haven?t we all received such calls and probably haven?t taken the holiday as by the time you pay the insurance and flights you could choose your own destination at a time that suits you and not the promoters.
Timeshare people come in all guises, it can be like that on the telephone coming into your home unasked and usually at dinner time or it can be as you walk along a pretty promenade enjoying the view whist on your holiday that you are accosted. It was such a scenario that happened to us last May in Malta.
We had walked from Sliema to St Georges Bay, probably took us an hour or so but the sun was getting hotter and we walked up into the town to find a café for a long ...

TimeShare Resorts
Thurnham Hall, Lancaster. Excellent accommodation, Sports complex and excellent restaurant. The resort over looks Morecambe Bay. Easy access to the Lake Ditrict and the Yorkshire Dales. Now part of the Thurnham Leisure Club which is now affiliated to Interval International. We actually own a week at this resort. You can even use the facilities such as the leisure club and resturant all year round.
Balaia Park, Algarve, Portugal. Very good accommodation situated on the outskirts of Albuferia. Facilities include excellent restaurant, 4 swimming pools, tennis courts. Close to marvellous sandy beaches. Well worth a visit. Fairly near Faro Airport.
Charlotte Bay Resort, Western Florida. Comfortable accommodation overlooking Charlotte Bay. A great place to relax. Close to historic Punta Gorda

Advantages: Cheap Food, usually good weather. Disadvantages: time share pests
I went to Tenerife for the first time last March.We wanted somewhere warm and to escape Englands grotty weather.
We booked accomodation and when we got to the airport got told where we were staying.
We had an idea where we were going as we got showed four hotels between a three and a four star.
I wasn't particularly worried as it was with Thomson and usually find their hotels very good.
We found out we were staying in a small resort called Playa Parasio.
The hotel was actually all inclusive.
To be honest the price was exactly the same for two people sharing and having all inclusive as for self catering.
we do prefer to eat out as part of our night out but we thought we would give it a try.
The breakfasts were ok , we could have english breakfast, toast or cereal along with the hams, breads and cheeses.
The lunches consisted ...
