The area in Paris known as the Jardindesplantes is very tranquil and you would find it hard to believe you are in one of the major European cities of the world. In this area you will find a large park of botanical gardens and a menagerie. An ideal place to sit a while and take refreshments from the cafe, or wander around the pathways and sit for a while for a therapeutic break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
I have visited here several times, at different times of the year, and even in the height of the tourist season the area was not overcrowded.
The area is easily reached by several metro stations, RER and SNCF at Gare d'austerlitz and buses on routes 47 and 89.

Well I have nearly reviewed all the hotels I saw recently on my Paris trip although I still have some other things to review too from the trip! This hotel is one of the ones I had not really heard much about so didn't really have any prior opinions of it or know what to expect before arriving.
The hotel:
The hotel is a 3 star hotel that is quite traditional in terms of the style of the building. The hotel is fairly small with 50 rooms along with a small breakfast room and a small lobby lounge.
Location:
The hotel is located in the Montmartre area of Paris at 5 Rue Tholozé in the 18th Arondissemont. It is very near to the famous Moulin Rouge theatre and the Sacre Coeur and is surrounded by lots of little cafes and small restaurants. Goal
Our goal for a hotel in Paris this time was to find a decent hotel at a low price and centrally located. There are thousands of hotels in Paris and it is not easy to know which site to use to book a hotel and which area to stay in. I'm not sure how we narrowed it down to Tim hotel Tour Eiffel but our checking included reading some reviews at TripAdvisor and it looked like it fit our profile. We booked through the hotel's homepage directly and we paid an average of 86 ? per night for the room (a total of 608 ?) for the week.
