Although it costs £5 a pop we went here very night of our stay in Copenhagen.
Location: Very central, just around the corner from the train station or straight across from the town square. Or behind Madame Tussauds.

When you first go in there are lots of restuarants and coffee houses which are reasonably priced and serve decent meals. Then you notice the first band stand where different music is performed each evening from early til late. As you walk further down there are beautiful gardens and a taj mahal copy restaurant (looks good not cheap) then you come across the main stage. Next up are the stalls of fairground games - the vendors do not tout at all - which I won at loads of times ranging from keyrings to big fluffy toys. quite cheap too (about 10p ago). There are also danish hot dog stands - try one they're great and cheap- and drinks, candy floss etc.
There are some viking buildings and games shortly after followed by the fairground 'proper' which has the usual assortment of rides like the sony ride (shoots you up in tha air), big wheels, dodgems etc....
The peice de resistance follows with the rivers and gardens, all lit up at night and with fish food so you can feed the carp - it is stunning and a very romantic place if you;re with your other half.
Who goes there ? In short - everyone ! We watched business men walk around sucking lollipop and doing deals, granny and grandads holding hands, kiddies running around pointing everything out while mums and dads sat down with a coffee, young couples walked around the gardens. There is a great mixture of tourists and locals which really make you feel part of copenhagen life.
Advantages: Something Very Special Disadvantages: Have plenty of Euros in your pocket
I visited the Tivoli Gardens at christmas time. If you are looking for somthing extra special I recommend the Tivoli. It is a fantastic family place to visit, even if you are visiting Denmark by yourself or with just your parnter it is something that should not be missed. You purchase your enterance ticket which is approximatly 25 euros per adult. If you go as a family you can get a family one for about 65 euros (2 adults and 2 kids). Once inside there are fairground rides, a ferris wheel from which you are able to see the city of Copenhagen, there are buildings from every country in the world, there are also plenty of places to eat. If you are visiting at Christmas time the entie place is lit up with christmas lights and trees, there are stalls with many different chirstmas decorations ranging from one of a kind items to handmade ...

never, so to speak, be finished," and he was right, it has changed and grown over the years.
Tivoli is situated in the heart in Copenhagen at Vesterbrogade, it is situated right beside the Town Hall Square and Central Station, there is no missing it and the buses all stop at the garden entrance.
Let me set the scene - it was December, it was Denmark, it was VERY cold - not snowing but with a heavy frost that made everywhere look magical.
If you are in a 'Bah humbug' mood, Tivoli at Christmas is just the place to go the place to put you in the Christmas spirit,it is full of delights of Christmasses past and present.
The wonderful gardens of Tivoli are transformed into small villages filled with lights and life and an incredible selection of Danish christmas décor, gift ideas and Danish food and drink suitable for Christmas. The stalls ...
