Great hotel, great location, great price!
Advantages: Location, has everything you need, helpful staff Disadvantages: Only small space for hanging clothes but not a major issue
...are also very close to Shinjuku station which is great to travel to other parts of the city. The hotel was clean, stylish and the staff were very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything you need including a mini fridge, safe, hairdryer and a TV with Japanese and western channels. The views from the window were wonderful at night where you could see for miles over the Tokyo neon skyline. The room was quite small however this is ... ...and you only tend to get large rooms in the luxury 5 star hotels. The room is very adequate for a budget traveller who just wants somewhere to sleep, shower and rest. The rooms have recently been refurbished to an excellent standard and are very modern and comfortable. My only criticism is that there wasn't a lot of space to hang clothes.... however this hotel is mainly used for short stays and businessmen who generally just need to hang up a couple ...

FABULOUS HOTEL!
Advantages: Everything you need in one place and excellent location! Disadvantages: none!
I have stayed in this hotel 4 times and I love it. It is in an excellent location in Shinjuku close to Shinjuku station and the main shopping area You must check out the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building which is opposite this hotel, it has a free viewing platform where you can see breathtaking views of the Tokyo skyline and Mount Fuji on a clear day! The hotel is wonderful, staff are helpful and friendly and speak English very well. The rooms ... ...hotel standards, most rooms in Tokyo hotels are tiny. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay including a mini bar, hairdryer, plenty of storage space, a writing desk, flat screen TV with both western and Japanese channels. There is also free high speed internet access in all rooms which is very easy to use. The views from the hotel are wonderful! You should also check out the Restaurants and Gift shops located in the hotel, they ...

A superb value hotel in one of the best Tokyo locations
Advantages: Clean, modern, excellent location Disadvantages: Small rooms and not cheap, but not many places in the area are cheap!
...never stayed in a bad hotel in Tokyo. For this trip I decided I wanted to stay near Shinjuku, so previous hotels were out of the question and my budget is getting smaller all the time. Through a combination of reviews on Tripadvisor, rating on hotels.com and a good listing of hotel rates from lowest to highest there emerged a clear winner, the Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku! Getting there We arrived in Tokyo on the Shinkansen train from Kyoto, ... ...around that area and the hotel is on the street behind the office buildings along the terrace. There are maps along the terrace and if you can locate the post office then the hotel is almost opposite. For those of you using the Tokyo subway, there are a number of lines stopping at Shinjuku, two of them have an entrance practically on the doorstop of the hotel. More about the location Being in Shinjuku has the obvious benefits for transportation, ...

Lost in pretention
Advantages: Fantastic views of Tokyo, spacious rooms Disadvantages: Outdated rooms and unaccommodating service.
...for the variety. The Park Hyatt hotel is probably most famous for being the hotel featured in the "Lost in Translation" film. It looked very stylish and fashionable in the film and I must admit that is the main reason I chose it.
The hotel is based in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo, which is one of the busy shopping and restaurant areas. We thought it was a convenient base from which to explore Tokyo, although it is (thankfully) not slap bang in the ... ...minute walk to the main areas of activity or a few minutes in a taxi. We had travelled to Tokyo by train, arriving at the main JR station for the city (simply named Tokyo station). As we could not face the subway with our large luggage we took a taxi to the hotel which cost the equivalent of about £20 (i.e. ¥4,000) and took about 45 minutes due to heavy traffic. The hotel is one of the tallest buildings around and we were impressed with its attractive ...
