Top Euro Hotel Centrum, Rotterdam

Advantages: Away from the city center
Disadvantages: Not good for night life

...If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the centre of Rotterdam then stop reading now. Approx cost per night EURO -95 to 135 for a standard room per night - breakfast is extra at approx EUR 16. Rotterdam is located approx 1 hr by train away from Skipol Airport with a 10 minute taxi ride from Rotterdam station to the hotel. Novotel have more than one hotel in Rotterdam, this on is situated in the midlle of a business park (Brainpark) which is next to a motorway. The hotel itself is modern and the 1st impression we had upon arrival was of welcome and comfort. The main receiption areain the hotel is just to the left of the entrance but you cannot miss it. It is located between the elevators to which are available to take you to the correct end of your floor rather than having to walk the full length of the hotel... Read review

Advantages: There are many hidden nice places and great night life
Disadvantages: Modern and not really beautiful

...Rotterdam was smashed during the World War II and unlike other big cities in Europe (Warsaw would be a good example), Dutch people decided not to restore city to the initial outlook. Instead, in typical Dutch manner, they decided to transform Rotterdam in playground of modern architecture. Frankly speaking, not always experimenting is good but after all, someone has to try, isn’t it? Briefly about places where architects actually succeeded, - Cubic Houses is a good example, - start you journey from Cooolsingel and go to the direction of the Cubics, - you will see that actually they look like a mountain range with Pencil House pointing as a top on the range and the arch at Blaak Metro station just making the sense of mountains stronger. Advantages: Clean, Location, Price, Staff

...Good location at the edge of Old Town pedestrian area and infront of the beautiful grounds of Bratislava Castle. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke good English. Not a luxury hotel by any means, but location, cleanliness, more than make up for this. Rooms basic but more than adequate, nice fresh clean bathrooms with good shower. One tip i would give is to avoid the breakfast at the hotel. Theres nothing wrong with it at all, in fact it was quite good but at 8 Euro is was very pricey in my opinion. There is much better value to be found in the town centre. Overall, a good choice and it does exactly what it needs to do. Good option for a weekend visit to Bratislava.... Read review
