Toronto
Advantages: Read opp Disadvantages: none
...America. Europeans first landed in Toronto in the early 1500’s, and they have left a lasting impression, with the European language spoken, the architecture and the cuisine. The main language spoken in Toronto is French, however English is also universally known, and is used everyday.
The climate in Toronto is one of much change, it can be both extremely cold and wet, whilst at the same time during the summer months exceptionally hot.
This next ... ...Now for most people Toronto is a stop off whilst they are already in America, and thus find it easier to either drive up the border, take a train or simply a small short flight. Since I was coming from London, I travelled the full long distance of about 9 hours flying times worth. After the long, tiring and journey we finally landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport. This is the busiest Airport in Toronto, and this is evident as soon as you ...

Trip to Toronto (Canada)
Advantages: Great Shopping Disadvantages: Go to May - September
I had nine days in Toronto and found it rather too long to stay there especially as it was November and very cold. Shopping is fantastic with lots of Outlet Malls around the outskirts of the city. You must see an Ice Hockey Game while you are there just for the crowd experience. Found the underground pathways helpful but confusing and took a little while longer to get used to it. Stayed in the Fairmont Royal Hotel which was traditional and four stars. ...

Start Saving Up Now...
Advantages: Range of things to see / do Disadvantages: My wallet was empty by the end
Toronto has some interesting attractions, but few must sees, and in the weeks prior to my visit I alternated between thinking I'd never be able to fill my days there and thinking I'd have far too much to fit in during my stay. It was hard to tell from my mini guide book what the absolute must sees were, but over a day and a half I packed in the following. It may seem like a lot, but I never felt too rushed, and also had time for a bit of shopping ... ...building is as near as Toronto gets to any kind of stately home, built between 1911 and 1914 by Sir Henry Pellatt. Inside you can watch a film about its former owner, explore the many rooms, still furnished in their original style, discover secret passages and climb the towers for views over the city. The audio guide comes in many languages and is interesting but unfortunately not an 'intelligent' one. It cannot sense where you are in the building ...

Toronto sightseeing
Advantages: Underground shopping malls. Disadvantages: Homeless people
...about it, I believe the only downside to the trip were the homeless people sleeping in the middle of the pavements over the gratings which exuded warm air from the underground shopping centres. Saying this, I never felt in any way threatened whilst walking around Toronto by day or night. ...

Gay and Lesbian Toronto (An Overview)
Advantages: Places to go, people to see Disadvantages: none
...Gay and Lesbian visitors to Toronto a bit of an overview of what to expect and where to expect it.
Toronto is many things to many people but it is the incredibly tolerant home to many diverse cultures and peoples. As a result, the gay community in Toronto is a large and thriving one and reflects the cultural and political makeup of the entire population.
Although queer-friendly spaces exist all over the city, there is one main area in town, known ... ...nightlife and socializing in Toronto. Located on Church street from just south of Bloor, the strip runs all the way down to Dundas street, and is most concentrated in and around the intersection of Church and Wellesley. It is very accessible by subway, as Wellesley station is within a five minute walk. Colourful Church street is brimming with bars, pubs, karaoke, ethnic restaurants and specialty shops. It is also the prime location of yearly Pride ...
