Toronto is many things to many people but it is the incredibly tolerant home to many diverse cultures and peoples. Although queer-friendly spaces exist all over the city, there is one main area in town, known ......nightlife and socializing in Toronto. It is very accessible by subway, as Wellesley station is within a five minute walk. Colourful Church street is brimming with bars, pubs, karaoke, ethnic restaurants and specialty shops. Advantages: Safe, friendly and exciting Disadvantages: none
I first visited Toronto in 1998 on my honeymoon and fell in love with the city. We stayed at the Bond Place Hotel on Dundas which we found to be clean, friendly and central. It is two minutes walk from the Eaton Centre - a shopper's paradise. There you can browse in Eaton's department store, shop till you drop in chain stores, craft shops and fancy goods stalls. The food hall is excellent for variety and value with foods from all over the world at ......all of that and Tim Horton's, the home of the world's greatest bagels and coffee you will have a terrific holiday. Just remember to take the opportunity to walk it off or go cycling on Toronto Island and you won't have to worry about putting on any excess pounds! ... Read review

...all you don’t go to Toronto in February and expect to get a suntan, do you? Like a little boy on Christmas Eve, I was so excited. Seeing a new city, a new country I could hardly contain myself as a waited by the conveyor belt for my suitcase to come around. Waiting for suitcases always makes me a little nervous, my memory returns to a particularly embarrassing holiday to Majorca with my Mum and Dad. When everyone on the aircraft had disembarked ......him. Anyway, back to Toronto and after a while I did start to worry about why had almost everyone else collected their cases and headed off downtown, while I and about a dozen other folks continued to wait patiently. I admit, for a while I was in denial refusing to believe my case was lost but I did eventually queue up and got the standard airline apology and the explanation that our cases were still at Glasgow. This occurred because on boarding ... Read review

...partner and I went to Toronto in July 2006. It was to be the first part of our holiday and then we were flying to visit my partner's brother in Albany, New York State. We booked our tickets through lastminute.com and got a really good deal- it was a three legged journey; Manchester to Toronto, Toronto to Albany and then Albany to Toronto ,and Toronto back to Manchester. For 2 tickets we paid £1600. I did a lot of research on the internet before booking ......good public transport systems in Toronto and you can check these on line at the Toronto Transit Commission website. I think that having been once we would be confident enough to use these next time. There are buses and trains (the VIA system) -trains get into Union Station and you can go to other parts of the country and the USA from here. Toronto is located on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario and you can see this as you get the taxi from the ... Read review
Advantages: Toronto Islands are rather nice, safe streets. Disadvantages: Boring, extreme weather, stuck up people
Toronto is alright for a day or two, but any longer and it would start to wear very thin. Considering it has a population of over 4million people, it's very boring and has few attractions. The CN tower is OK, but let's face it, it's just a very tall concrete tower with a restaurant at the top. Not exactly the Eiffel Tower. You'd do well to stretch more than an hour from the experience, especially as it's usually infuriatingly packed. The ROM and ......hall and the university but Toronto is largely an ugly place. Weather wise, Toronto is particularly unpleasant. Winters are bitterly cold and summers intollerably hot. The heat of the summer is made even worse by choking smogs which often blanket the place. On the positive side, downtown Toronto is very safe and it's public transport system is excellent. Unfortunately however, I can't say I would recommend Toronto to tourists. It's boring and ...
