The hotel that takes up a whole block
Advantages: Very professional, clean and comfy Disadvantages: Expensive
...cheaper.
There is another Sheraton at the airport, but this is quite a way out, so don't confuse the two if you're heading to Toronto and want to see the sights. If you accidentally book the airport one, you'll have a hell of an expensive time doing anything centrally!
Overall, we were thoroughly impressed. The underground shopping concourse, it turns out, stretches for miles under the city, and is called PATH. It is fairly priced down there, but ... ...places where food is relatively cheap. The only criticism I have of the hotel is the price of the food. Breakfast was not included in our stay, and to order breakfast from their room service or even to go into one of their own restaurants on the ground floor would have been almost twice as much as outside the hotel. However, we had a marvellous stay, and would happily use this hotel again if we went back to Toronto. ...

The HIlton Toronto
Advantages: Great location, helful staff Disadvantages: Rooms need some finishing touches!
Hilton Toronto
Having recently returned from a great stay at the Hilton and Toronto thought that it was about time that I attempted to put pen to paper again on Ciao as been absent for quite a while!
I opted for this hotel because I found a great deal of around £500 for 2 people for 7 nights at the beginning of September 2006. The room:
The room was located on the 16th floor as was spacious with two comfortable double beds and nice, fresh linen. ... ...but not up to other Hilton Hotels that I have stayed in. The communal areas of the hotel were all very modern and well kept. I have read reviews of this hotel that recommend staying on the executive floor here as the rooms are much nice and I would be tempted to see the difference if I stayed here again (which I would as the overall experience was very good!) The location:
Toronto is quite a large city although it is easily accessible on foot or ...

Delta Chelsea- Only place to stay in Toronto.
Advantages: A really nice great hotel with great customer service and all you need. Disadvantages: Food is expensive (but worth price).
So we arrived tired from our 10 hour flight and the receptionist was really nice and friendly. Our room was amazing. It was massive with a nice big bed and telly. We had a balcony. The hotel is in the middle of downtown. It is across the room from the massive Eaton centre which is the main shopping centre in Toronto. The subway and bus stops are outside the hotel. Room service is great and worth the money. Your order taker is friendly and proffessional. ... ...the food is presented on a tray with lots of little extras that you might need. The hotel is very well presented and always clean tidy. All staff from bell boys to the maids always say hello to you when they pass you. Most hotels staff are friendly if you talk to them but here they are all friendly. When we first arrived we had problems using the card key in the lock and a passing maid offered to help and showed us how to use it. The resturants are ...

Bond Place Hotel Review
Advantages: Great location and room views Disadvantages: Lack of free internet access (if guest does not have a computer)
Myself and my family have traveled to Toronto twice in recent years and of the second times we decided to use this hotel. It is a mid-rise building located in the centre of downtown Toronto close to the Eaton Centre and Dundas Square.
The hotel's location really is its best feature - in my opinion you really couldn't be in a better position (most attractions such as the CN Tower are within walking distance). The room sizes are good with great views ... ...The hotel reception staff were helpful and the reception stays open late which is helpful (for example we arrived at the hotel late at night). The only major downside to the hotel was the lack of free internet access with a computer (i.e. if you do not have your own computer you will either have to use the hotel's pay-as-you-go service or go across the road to the excellent internet cafe which is very cheap - around $5-10 per hour).
Overall a great ...

Down and out
Advantages: cheap, quite central Disadvantages: uncleanly, unsafe location
...and I stayed at the Downtowner Inn during September 2007. We were traveling on a budget, therefore the price of the hostel/inn was suitable- approx $380/ £170 for 6 nights. We reserved a double room with private bathroom and were given an adequately sized room, but with two sets of bunk beds, double at the bottom, single above. The main problem with this if you are tall is that you cannot sit up in the bed as my husband found out; he hit his head ... ...you were talking to.
Downtowner Inn is situated just over a mile or so from the main attractions in Toronto's centre. Not too far to walk and one of the closest, if not the closest, hostel to the centre. However, the street on which it is situated is not ideal. At night, it can be pretty intimidating, with large groups of men, youths and homeless. NOT recommended for women traveling on their own.
Realistically, I wouldn't stay here again. The price ...
