The tour Montparnass is the highest tower in Paris (and in France) and the only high rise of the city. The contrast of modernity in the middle of a city that was was kept fairly historical is quite interesting even a little strange and probably the only thing of this kind you will see in Paris, unless you go to the business center called "La Defense" located just outside of Paris. In fact, the construction of high rises is forbidden in Paris now so it will remain the only one. Advantages: -you can have a great view of Paris form the rooftop - you can also enjoy fine dinning at the upscale restaurant "La tour d'argent" (meaning the silver tower) located at the top of the tower. -Also, the tower is located in a big shopping area so you can just go there on a day you planned to do some shopping instead of going specifically to see the tower. It's also easily accessible by train or bus, the station is Montparnass-bienvenue. -the elevator to go to the 56th floor is the fastest in Europe (it goes to the top in 38 seconds!) Disadvantages: -it costs about 9 euros for adults to go up to the 56th floor, it think it's a little pricy -let's face it, the tower seems completely out of place in Paris which is known for a very beautiful architecture. the architecture of the tower is very simple, not very pretty

Advantages: perfect city to be inspired by architecture, culture, shopping and fine cuisine Disadvantages: just too many tourists, hope this review wont bring too many extra ones
