I think this a really amazing experience and the architectual aspect of the building is a must see. If i can remeber rightyl i think it also has a refreshments bar or one not so far away. I think it also has live music from an organ piano and also has seating spread around the dancefloor the the ballroom dancers can be admired. Advantages: The whole day can be spent in the Tower Disadvantages: Very expensive
The BlackpoolTower is one of the main tourist attractions in Blackpool, situated on the promenade. The Tower was built in 1894 and in height it stands at 158m (518ft) tall, The BlackpoolTower can be seen from other places such as Morecambe Bay and in September the Tower is illuminated which is a beautiful sight.
I have visited Blackpool on several occasions and each time I have made a point to go to the Tower, there are a number of activities in the Tower which are suitable for all ages. Over the years BlackpoolTower has changed in many ways and it is as enjoyable now as it was when I first visited Blackpool.
The TowerBallroom - The TowerBallroom has been in the Tower from 1897, the ballroom is absolutely amazing and has held shows such as Strictly Come Dancing among others, there are also shows held in the Ballroom on certain ...
Advantages: Cheap and cheerful Disadvantages: Beach isn't very clean
prices start at around £20 per person per night these days and from there the sky’s the limit.
As far as entertainment goes, again there is something for everyone - the Pleasure beach being my favourite for a wide variety of white-knuckle rides including the famous "Big One" rollercoaster aswell as small rides for children and a childrens' playhouse. Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach also boast the world’s oldest wooden rollercoaster in the “Grand national" where two coaches race each other – a great ride! There are rides for all ages from gentle roundabouts for very young children to gut-churning, gravity defying rides for brave adults.
Of course, there is BlackpoolTower with its ballroom and bingo nights, numerous nightclubs catering for all ages and all tastes in music too. I found the older people tended to ...
Advantages: Fast, lots to do and see, fun and great walking Disadvantages: Tiring, a bit dirty and costly if you aren't careful
When we go to Blackpool we know what we are letting ourselves in for. We go for the fun fair (especially when we can get the buy one get one free set of tickets via national newspapers), the walking along the sea front (and crashing seas if lucky), the arcades, the fish n chips n tea on the sea front and the Imperial Hotel owned by Paramount.
The Imperial is up the quieter North end of the prom and is rated 4 stars and is very, very, very nice indeed. It is a bit more pricey than normal hotels but the food, the rooms and the whole feel of the hotel is worth it! What is more after a hard day riding rides and playing arcades and walking there is nothing nicer than a bit of luxury!
Blackpool itself has some really nice points - the fun fair, the tower and ballrooms - but it is also full of tatt! Ignore it and you will enjoy the place ...
