Every visitor to London has to see The Tower. It features in history lessons whatever part of the world you come from. The Crown Jewels are featured there and you cannot miss the Beafeaters who these days are the official guides.
Access is by tube or bus although it is one of those awkward places to reach comfortably so if you have children or no longer walk to well a taxi might be best for you. Those in trim may well like to couple the visit with a walk through to City of London to see the Bank of England and the Royal Exchange which features in many olf lithogrphs.
The Tower is expensive so take your time to see everything inside and out and, don't forget to see the ravens and discover their importance to the Tower and the country. Before you leave a short walk will take you along the river so that you can, at least, take home a photgraph of Tower Bridge. Do take some food with you because there is not much on offer close by. NOT ALL IS SUITABLE FOR THE DISABLED.
