I stayed at the Tradershotel in Kuala Lumpur from Sunday 22nd of September until Friday 28th of September. I had room 3106 (which is on the club floor - meaning executive floor) and I had a room with a city view.
We arrived early in the morning and when you come into the reception if looks rather small. It turned out that this was just the concierge are and they guided us in a very polite way to the reception on the 5th floor. This is also rather small but the check in was fast and you can also get a check in on the club lounge on the 32nd floor if you have a room on an executive floor.
Room
The room was located on the 31st floor and had a nice city view thru large windows. My colleague got a room with a park view and he had an amazing view straight to the Petronas twin towers?once the highest buildings in the world.

some people have a third world mentality. I would suggest all these but, WARNING! NEVER take a taxi! They will take advantage on tourists, they are rude, and they are lazy. They charge very unreasonably and they refuse to use the taxi meter. They?re just a bunch of unscrupulous idiots and citizens are boycotting them. Let?s see how they?ll survive!
For a challenging and unforgettable moment, try the trishaw ride! I don?t know how much it costs but I don?t think it will be expensive.
Penang does not have any rail tracks or any metro system, so don?t bother looking for it.
ACCOMODATION
Don?t worry about accommodation. You?ll get it cheap over here. There are a lot of hotels here, located in every location of the island. Motels aren?t so good and I would not recommend it. At least, a 3 star hotel would be ...

Cotton Traders (CT) has become a staple source of clothes for me. In my darkest days, pushing almost 25 stone, it was my only reasonably priced, mainstream source of outsized clothes that did not carry the psychological baggage inherent in ?Big & Tall? and ?High & Mighty? type shops. With sizes up to 4XL for T-shirts and polo shirts, and waist sizes up to 52 inches, it was a godsend. The only downside was that ordering from them helped perpetuate the illusion that my size was OK.
