I myself was attending a trade show in Torquay and required a smoking room of which I was informed this hotel has 11 such rooms for those wishing to smoke, the rest of the hotel is of course non smoking to comply with regulations. This was a prime reason for choosing Gleneagles for my Torquayhotel as many other hotels are totally non smoking.

Advantages: Fantastic Business Hotel Disadvantages: None
As a business Women I rarely have time to sit down and write a review on a place I have been to. However on this occasion, I have made time as the Palace hotel in Torquay, which I recently attended for a conference, was outstanding. The luxury and status of the hotel clearly shined through in both the exterior and interior appearance. The large rooms where clean, well styled and extremely practical, providing myself with a very high quality experience. After the conference, I retired to a cosy and exceptional room where I was pampered with a deluxe bed, modernised bathroom and fresh fruit. Moreover I was able to spend the evening socialising with colleagues over a game of snooker and a first class glass of wine with a friendly and well mannered group of hotel staff. All in all the conference was made perfect by the exceptional facilities ...
Advantages: Posh hotel, it looks nice, but... Disadvantages: The staff
I went to stay here in 2006, I think. For my sisters wedding. It was a nice hotel, the architecture inside I knew wasn't real, but it was meant to look posh. Which it did, but only in one room... the reception. So, I stayed here for two days and one night. I didn't sleep on a proper bed, because the room was full in which I was sleeping in (Since its a wedding and all). So in the corner of the room, I had to sleep on a horrible, tiny, lumpy bed. Which can be folded again into a bag. Of course, I can't blame the hotel for the poor bed, because this was my own fault. I'm sure that if there weren't so many people I could of slept on the double bed, which is better.
