I was looking for the cheapest direct flights to Kuala Lumpur in June. Having spent hours ringing up all the travel agents: STA, Trailfinders, Travelbag, Austravel the best fare was £620. A friend recommended Emerald Travel who actually quoted £605. They assured me they were waiting for Student fares from Malaysian Airlines. Student fares? I was quite sceptical especially as I had hunted all round and none was cheap!
After a week ... ...a cheap flight off Expedia for my nephew. I discovered that with these online bookings if you entered one seat at a time you get a cheaper price than 2 or 3 seats in one booking. I also discovered that after booking and paying in full for the one cheap seat at £556 there were no more seats at that price when I went in for a second booking!
Emerald Travel offered me some cheap student flights to KL via Singapore Airlines for under £500. ... more

After a week of constant ringing I gave up and decided to book a cheap flight off Expedia for my nephew. I discovered that with these online bookings if you entered one seat at a time you get a cheaper price than 2 or 3 seats in one booking. Emerald Travel offered me some cheap student flights to KL via Singapore Airlines for under £500. A few more days of waiting paid off because the Malaysian Airlines student fares did finally come through and at well under £500 I immediately booked 2 for my sons and made a considerable saving!
It pays to shop around - Student fares do exist if you know where to look and I was lucky to find direct student flights to KL for under £500.
I must have made 20 calls to Emerald in the last week and yet they were always helpful and friendly. Now I will certainly use them for all my travel needs especially as they cater for tours and offer good fares to Australia, the Far East and all over the world. For students'flights they are hard to beat and certainly offer better flight prices than STA especially to Malaysia and Singapore. Try them -they are on 0207 734 1000 and on the net as ebookem.com.
Advantages: Good Service, good price Disadvantages: Specialise in under-26 independent travel
TravelCuts is the Canadian Universities Travel Service, although Canadian they operate in the UK, have a shop in London, a website (travelcuts.co.uk) and a phone booking service. I have found them to be of consistently good value and always a good few quid cheaper than
STA Travel for the same flights. As with STA they specialise in student and young travel and many tickets require an ISIC card (that proves you are under 26). If you're thinking of ...

Advantages: low prices for student Disadvantages: waiting for special sales to come on
Travel cuts is a travel angency here in Canada that caters to students. I have found their prices to be really good. I dealt with them when i was traveling through Canada. Not only they have great domestic deals but they also have vary good international deals also. Travel cuts seems to always beat the deal with regular travel angencies. Being a student the agency knows the importance of money and how much students are willing to spend durining hard ... ...and they also have deals with major airlines. If people want to check out this travel agency i suggest one goes to the website. www.travelcuts.com and see where u can the deals that is available. I also recommend one to be on their mailing list via email to get the latest deals on tickets. Travel cuts all the way. ...

Advantages: Punctual, clean, free WiFi Disadvantages: hard to find a seat at peak times, some staff are less than polite
As someone who is able to travel in First Class, I can say that the experience is generally very good. Complementary Tea and Coffee is served regularly, although at times it is very slow to arrive or doesn't arrive at all when there are staff shortages.
There is also a wide range of food available at your seat, both snacks and meals.
Seating is very comfortable and spacious. You can also easily find a seat. WiFi is provided free or charge for both First Class and Standard class passengers, but you have to sign up first in order to use it. It is not very fast, particularly at peak times and often cuts out.
I also travel in standard class regularly too. Here seating is adequate but you are less likely to be able to find a seat meaning you may have to stand. Refreshments are provided either at the cafe bar in the center ...
I stayed in the Ramada Hotel in Belfast and I must say that the experiance had its flaws and its charms. I normally stay in the Hilton or the Europa in Belfast if I ever decide to stay but because of the busy Valintines Day period I was unable to book a room in either of these hotels so I then decided to book a room with the Ramada.
The price of this hotel was reasonable, at £79 a night, I think that this is a great price for a hotel of this standard because compared to the Hilton thats rooms can cost up to £125 a night for a twin room this is a great price for a Friday night, though the Travel Lodge probably would have been cheaper if you decide to go away for lesiure reasons sometimes that hotel wont cut it.
The Room I received was clean, tidy and had lots of space in it, there were two double beds and it allowed smoking (as I ...
Advantages: every advantage if you live local enough Disadvantages: cant fly to carabean
Cardiff Wales Airport;
Has to be in my opinion a fantastic airport, it may be smaller than Gatwick, Heathrow, Birmingham, but most people here in Wales seam more than happy to fly from there. It cuts down our travelling time by half; rather than have to travel to London before we holiday in some far off island
My family and I, usually travel by hired mini bus to the air port, so there for don?t have any difficulties with car parking..
The airport is well signposted and therefore easily found by car.
Inside is not to overwhelming, with plenty to look at while you wait for your plane. The surroundings are quite pleasant, all your needs are catered for, weather it be food or drink you require. (Alcoholic ones to if that?s your tipple)
Because food and drink items are more expensive than ordinary shops tea bars ect, I usually take ...
