:::::::: Excursion: JERUSALEM BY BUS with STARCO TRAVEL:::::::::
Advantages: easy traveling Disadvantages: did not get the service we had booked (English guided tour)
...a local travel agency named Starco Travel. Unfortunately, the trip was a total disappointment. We had booked an English-speaking tour - however, we were placed in a Russian-guided bus with an only Russian-speaking tour guide! Our complaints to receive information in English was merely ignored. Once arrived in Jerusalem, we were supposed to receive a guided tour through the most important places. We spent one hour with no guide at all, just following ... ...Sea (while the Russian tour guide kept on explaining and explaining and explaining...) -------> Our conclusion: Never again any trip with STARCO Travel!! ............................................................................................................................................. Hop on in Fiji!
Advantages: great ride on the big green bus, lots of options Disadvantages: hard to mix with people
Feejee experience is part of a tour group that also owns OzExperience and KiwiExperience (in Australia and New Zealand). FeejeeExperience operates in Fiji. The company is aimed at travellers with no specific age group in mind and as such you get a wide age range on the tours. All the buses are huge and green - you can't miss them!! The company isn't strictly a tour company as such. What Feejee Experience is is a hop-on hop-off bus with different ... ...buy your ticket either before you go or when you're there and after it's been activated on the first you you have a limit in which to use it - this is either 6 months or a year, I can't remember. The passes all include some activties although not many - the passes are pretty cheap. I think the fiji pass we bought which toured the main island was called the Hula Loop and was about £100. This included the activites and the transport, it also ensures ...

Spending a Few Hours With Nature
Advantages: Great View, Excellent Wildlife and Fun Boat! Disadvantages: Might Not See Any Dolphins or Whales
...EcoVentures? ---------------------------- EcoVentures are a small company located in the lovely town of Cromarty. This was the base of our stay where our hotel was located. Basically EcoVentures are a sightseeing company. They are based in the harbour at Cromarty and have a small shop where your tour will begin. In the shop you can purchase an array of merchandise including photos and postcards, toys for younger visitors and many factual books and ... ...see? --------------------------- EcoVentures own a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) which is approx 10 metres long, the boat only seats 12 people maximum (including Skipper/Guide) so it will be a nice small group. This means however that you also get great views no matter where you are on the small boat and also a nearly personal guided trip around the beautiful coastline. The point of the 2 hour trip is to introduce visitors or wildlife enthusiasts to ...

Compare the Mercat - seemples!
Advantages: An alternative view of Edinburgh, good guides, fun, interesting Disadvantages: Could be a bit longer, not much to see on our tour
...taking a guided tour with Mercat Tours. Mercat Tours offer several tours that put the spotlight on different historical aspect of Edinburgh, mainly things with a sinister edge. It's easy to book a place on one of their tours. You can contact the company directly by telephone (in which case you will need to pay in advance by credit card) or by means of their website, or through the Tourist Information Centres in Edinburgh. It's also possible to turn ... ...so the staff couldn't phone Mercat Tours to check on availability. We were given a phone number for the company but when we phoned them it was then that we learned they required credit card details for phone reservations and we were reluctant to give them out as we were in a busy place at the time. After 10 we went back to the TIC and booked the tickets there. No booking fee is charged by the TIC for this service. We were given a map on which the ...

Escape the bourgeois city with Crazy Tours!
Advantages: You'll learn a lot, it's fun, travel in a Trabant Disadvantages: None
...matter entirely!
I found Crazy Tours when surfing the internet looking for some background reading on the Nowa Huta district of Krakow. (I have reviewed this suburb separately on this site but, briefly, Nowa Huta is a post-war "city" - now really a suburb - that is centred around a massive steelworks, the brainchild of Stalin who wanted to make people in the region feel loyal to the Communist regime) We had visited Krakow before but wanted to see ... ...day. I saw the name Crazy Guides on a couple of sites but it wasn't until I saw a photograph of a Trabant that I started to take notice. My other half is an ardent Trabantophile, I am interested in all things Communist; the Crazy Guides Communist Tour where you are driven around Nowa Huta in a Trabant seemed the perfect way for us to spend a morning. I vaguely remembered seeing Michael Palin being driven around in a Trabant in his New Europe BBC ...
